Amid the towering pines and golden fall leaves of BWB Ranch Party Venues located in northern Minnesota, this vision came to life in shades of plums, gold and silver. We especially love how they created a day that is elegant and refined, yet it exudes the laid back feeling of a charming barn wedding.
cocktails on the terrace
The bride wore an organza ballgown with lace cap sleeves and accented with a rhinestone belt. In lieu of a veil, she wore an embellished headpiece tucked amongst her elaborate curled updo. In a nod to the more casual setting, the groom wore a formal black suit and tie. Cocktails were served on the stone terrace with a roaring fire in the open fireplace. Rustic cheeses and artisan breads were presented with imported French and Italian wines served in vintage stemware again combined the theme.

Lavish details of sequined and embellished lace table linens were combined with vintage chandeliers and heirloom crystal and china, gold flatware and chargers, set against the rustic wood of the barn. Flowers and garlands of roses, eucalyptus, parrot tulips, fern, and amaranthus combined with rustic garden elements such as eggplant, kale, grapes and plums further joined the European and vintage themes. Calligraphy on luxurious papers, embellished place cards atop of golden pears and hand drawn table numbers in ornate frames added to the elegant, yet rustic appeal. Guest favors were eucalyptus embellished cork-topped bottles of rosemary infused olive oil.
pastry towers and cake pops
Antiques dotted the landscape and served as a station for a European pastry bar with raspberry tortes, chocolate mousse, handmade eclairs, an old world croquembouche (pastry tower) and modern cake pops. The traditional wedding cake was a carrot cake embellished with roses and purple floral and accented with flecks of gold.
