Juhi and Rajat spent their undergraduate years walking the same university grounds in Austin without ever meeting. It took graduation, a few more years, and a January 2022 boba date for their paths to finally cross.
What began as a casual conversation stretched into hours as the two discovered shared memories of college, a mutual love for their city, and an easy ability to make one another laugh. Their connection quickly grew into something neither could imagine living without.
When it came time to get married, returning to the city where their relationship began felt fitting. Rather than carrying one design concept through the entire celebration, Juhi and Rajat, with assistance from Glitzzy Events, gave each event at Villa at the Vineyard and Canyonwood Ridge its own identity, using fashion, florals, and personal details to reflect different parts of their story, all photographed by MnM Photography.

A vibrant sangeet started the celebration with energy
Juhi had a clear vision for the sangeet: colorful, lively, and unmistakably festive.

The event set an energetic tone for the wedding festivities and established the couple’s approach to the weekend. Each celebration could look and feel different while still remaining connected through thoughtful design and meaningful traditions.

Fashion played an especially important role across the events, with embroidered silks, intricate beading, and mirror work bringing texture and craftsmanship into Juhi’s wardrobe.
Juhi and her mother curated every bridal look together
For Juhi, choosing her wedding wardrobe was particularly meaningful because fashion had long been something she shared with her mother.

“Fashion and design have always been a shared passion between my mother and me, so we were very intentional about curating each look,” she shared.

Across the wedding events, the looks incorporated richly embroidered silks, mirror work, and beading. For the ceremony, Juhi embraced tradition in a classic red lehenga with intricate gold detailing.

Her wardrobe also included a custom-embroidered lehenga featuring the couple’s names and wedding date, turning one of her fashion choices into a permanent record of the celebration.

A dramatic floral archway marked the ceremony entrance
Before guests even reached the ceremony, florals established the scale of what was waiting beyond.

A striking floral archway framed the entrance, creating a dramatic transition into the outdoor setting. Its organic design also introduced the floral language that would become the defining visual element of the ceremony.

Beyond it, treelines and open Texas skies provided a natural backdrop for Juhi and Rajat’s vows.

A fully floral mandap became the ceremony centerpiece
At the center of the ceremony stood a mandap covered entirely in flowers.

Soft pastel blooms enveloped the structure, creating a romantic focal point against the surrounding greenery and open sky. Rather than separating the ceremony design from the landscape, the organic floral installation worked with the natural setting around it.

The result gave the traditional mandap an abundant, garden-inspired quality while ensuring it remained the undeniable centerpiece of the ceremony.

Longhorn details brought their Austin story into the wedding
Juhi and Rajat also found smaller ways to connect the wedding to the city and university setting that had unknowingly linked their lives years before they met.

Longhorn-themed welcome bags greeted guests, while DIY welcome signage added another personal element to the festivities.
The details were playful compared with the scale of the floral installations and intricate fashion, but that was precisely what made them feel personal. They brought the couple’s shared connection to Austin into a celebration taking place in the city where their relationship had finally begun.

Floating candles created a glowing reception
For the reception, the organic aesthetic of the ceremony continued in a more glamorous direction.
Floating candles filled the space with warm light, creating a glowing atmosphere as the celebration moved into the evening. A crisp white and gold dance floor became another focal point and coordinated beautifully with Juhi’s gold reception outfit.

The shift from pastel ceremony florals and a traditional red bridal lehenga to candlelight, white, and gold gave the reception its own distinct personality while maintaining the polished aesthetic of the earlier events.
A white and gold dance floor matched Juhi’s reception look
Juhi’s gold reception ensemble became part of the evening’s larger design story.
Against the white and gold dance floor, her fashion felt intentionally connected to the reception rather than separate from it. The metallic palette also provided a glamorous contrast to the softer, garden-inspired ceremony that had preceded it.

It was another example of the attention Juhi and Rajat gave to making each part of their wedding feel distinct while still considering how fashion, decor, and setting would work together.

Two families came together through patience and empathy
Behind the flowers, fashion, and festivities was a process familiar to many couples planning a wedding that brings together multiple families and traditions.
Juhi and Rajat navigated different perspectives by prioritizing open communication and continually returning to what mattered most: bringing everyone together.
“It may not always be easy, but if you can work through those differences with patience and empathy, the celebration that follows will be so worth it,” they reflected.

Their wedding ultimately became a reflection of that philosophy. From a vibrant sangeet and traditional red bridal fashion to a fully floral mandap, personalized Longhorn details, and a candlelit gold reception, each event offered something different.
Together, those moments celebrated not only the relationship that began over boba in Austin, but the families, traditions, and shared history that Juhi and Rajat were bringing with them into marriage.
