Summer weddings are all the rage but growing up in Vermont Coryn, of  Coryn Kiefer Photography, always found magic in the snow and dreamed up this stunning day to help show brides the elegance that lies in a winter wedding. Originally built in 1904, the newly refurbished  Inn At Burklyn is just about as picturesque as the landscape around it and was the perfect home for this winter wedding inspired shoot.

Using what was already gracing the halls of the Inn, our inspiration color palette included dusty blues, sage green and ivory. Setting the scene and aiming to step outside of the normal stationary box, our invitation suite was hand painted in watercolor. It included an invite, envelope liner, reply card, save the date and every other element a bride may desire to make their invites stand out.

Every detail of this set was perfectly thought out including the main inn building on the invite and the tiny heart made by footprints in the snow on the detail card. The reply card even featured one of the horses from the stables across the street. This is a unique way to bring in elements of your wedding venue that will not soon be forgotten.

Taking advantage of the beautiful building the ceremony site was created outside using the frame of the greenhouse to hang a circular eucalyptus and additional greens chandelier. Emily, from  Tipsy Tulip Designs, created an asymmetrical floral altar filled with peonies, golden mustard roses, lisianthus, scabiosa pods and eucalyptus. These floral elements were carried through the day in the bride's bouquet and within the tablescape as well.

Bella and John, our bride and groom, braved the elements and stunned in their winter wedding wardrobe. Pulling a bit on the historical vibe of the Inn, we chose to suit up in elegant timeless fashion. In an ever growing trend, Bella wore two different  Justin Alexander styles. One for the ceremony and one for the party after. Both were adorned by  Ivy and Aster Jackets and  Bella Belle ShoesBella's look was finished off by the most perfect Hushed Commotion dangle statement earrings. John wore a fashion forward white Tux jacket paired with classic blacks pants from The Black Tux.

Dinner was set in the Darling Room just off the Inn's main entrance. Named after the Inn's original owners', the room is the perfect setting for intimate gatherings. It comes ready with a corner bar, fireplace and elegant seating. Lindsey, from  Lindsey Leichthammer Events, created the perfect soft and elegant tablescape. The table was scattered with sage green candles, mixed metal holders and fairytale worthy pink lemons were used in the as place card holders. Clean white china from  Vermont Tent Company was accented by minimalistic golden flatware to bring a modern touch to the table.

Let's not forget about the food! The blocking tier cake was artfully designed by  North Country Cakes and incorporated the soft colors of the day. A great tip to help your day flow visually is that the blue of the base layer was actually dyed to match  The Inn At Burklyn's logo. Food styling included locally sourced honeycomb and a subtle mix of bread, meats, cheeses and fruits that would tempt any palette.
