5 Ways to Use Mini Bubbly Bottles At Your Wedding

We’ve been wondering something for a while now, and wanted to poll our people for some thoughts. Why are we so damn obsessed with mini things? Mini cupcakes, mini macarons, mini doughnuts, mini flower pots, mini cars (I can’t help it, my husband is a digital marketer and one of his biggest (ironically) clients is MINI, so we’re always talking about mini cars), mini mani kits, even mini engagement rings --- hugeeee trend RN, BTW. As a culture, we just can’t get enough of teeny tiny things, and why not? They’re just adorable and soooo much more fun than their normal-sized counterparts. Really, they are. And the cutest mini consideration out there: mini champagne. We caught up with one of our favorite bubbly brands, Blanc de Bleu, whose minis are actually among their biggest and best sellers. They gave us a few ideas on how to work mini bottles of bubbly into your wedding, because not only are they #somethingnew they’re also #somethingblue, too! If you’re keeping tabs, that’s already 2 out of the 4…

A little bit about the bitty-sized bubbly

Looks like they were just destined to be part of the wedding day, what with their silver-foil-wrapped tops, white labels, and mellow blue liquid insides. AREWERITE? Here are a few scenarios that we could see these cuties fitting right in with the flow of the day.

A signature sip for the bride herself

Mimosas and bellinis will be flowing in the bridal suite that morning, but we wouldn’t recommend a bride getting bombed right before she needs to start getting dressed or stepping out for her first look. So, a signature sip, maybe even just one or two nips to calm her nerves, would be perfect. Plus, the bottle is so photogenic, it’s a great pop of color to an all-white vanity. Our recommendation, if you’re the bride? Just add a grey-striped craft straw so that you can sip without messing up with your perfectly-stained or glossed pout. 👌

Group goals

Okay, yes, we said that the bride shouldn’t be blitzed, but either should her bride squad! A nice little buzz is good enough. If your ‘I Do’ crew will be having some breakfast or brunch arranged - and we strongly advise it, energy levels need to be on-point for the duration of the day - ask for lots of color via a crudite platter or smoothie bowls and intersperse some bottles of blue bubbly. The group shots will look so festive, especially if the girls are dressed in some rainbow shades, as well.

Which is classier?

Pre reception sips for the guests

By a show of hands, who has ever attended a ceremony, and been surprised and delighted with a drink served upon their arrival? It’s a magical touch, right? Thirst-quenching, sweet, and stage-setting before the ceremony begins. So, how about having mini bottles of BDB passed out as your guests arrive? Or, setting up a simple bar with mini bottles there for the taking (supervised, of course!)? We even like the idea of setting up parallel stations - bubbly bottles on one side, and tubes of bubbles on the other, for guests to blow during the recessional/sendoff.

If the wedding is during the warmer spring and summer months, could also be great to pair the mini bottles with bubble bottles for the kids. Everyone can use a bubbly distraction!

Double-duty escort cards+favors

What do they always say? The best favors are the ones used or eaten? Well, mini bottles of champagne definitely fit the bill! We love using the baby bottles of bleu as escort cards that can double as takeaways later. Just commission one of your most calligraphy-inclined besties to handwrite some dainty hang tags, and place all the bottles either on a vintage rental table or in some gorgeous galvanized drink tubs.
