Share

Every once in a while, we like to do pulse checks to see what our readers+followers are loving on lately. We look at likes and we look at comments – and OMG, across the board, our fans loveee themselves some epic ceremony sites. Us too, obvi!! We can’t wait to repost our faves. It’s kind of like a great bride squad shot, when it’s good, it’s good – no ifs, ands, or but(t)s (okay, maybe a few)👌.

Before we get into all the goods, though, we figured it was only appropriate and helpful to talk about what features make some of these backdrops so mind-blowingly awesome and how to recreate the looks for your own big day:

Shapes.

And by that, we mean geometric structures. Squares, triangles, circles, hexagons, half moons, they’re erected and styled with stunning florals to pull together an aesthetic that is altogether trendy AF.

Macrame anything.

The boho wedding vibe is alive and well – so, there will always be votes for teepees and living terrarium-stye walls, and a motif so major that there are some designers who literally only work with macrame. Oversized dreamcatchers with crafty thatching work here, too!

Lovey-dovey language.

Whether it’s a meaningful song lyric blown up and used to add more color to the backdrop, or perhaps a moving quote that speaks to the couple’s love, it’s sentimental signage FTW, people. #growoldwithmethebestisyettobe.

Inspiring ceremony surroundings.

A lot of the most jaw-dropping ceremony setups are curated in the midst of an already inspiring I Do venue. Florals cascading across an antique barn door slider or installed naturally into alcoves of the space itself. The charm of the backdrop is kind of built-in from jump.

Conceptualizing a super cool ceremony backdrop/altar/arbor, etc. isn’t easy, either, it takes a wholeeee lot of creative minds working in tandem. That’s why if you’re after anything that looks like 👇, we’d suggest consulting an event stylist or floral designer even above and beyond a traditional planner. They are true titans of industry, and what they do is basically magic.
