Your Venue Can Help Create an Intimate Feel
While the property sustained damage from the fires in 2020, the venue luckily remained untouched. At only 100 guests, Derek and Kayla’s day was both intimate and emotional. Because of experiences in both the bride and groom’s lives, family was of the utmost importance on this day. They even wrote personalized thank you cards after the fact to every single person who came.
A Ceremony at the Cutest Cottages
The ceremony location was nestled between the cottages with the creek flowing behind it. Cocktail hour was held on the deck area of these same main cottages, which led down to the natural creek flowing through the property.
Yes, Bumble Was Incorporated Into the Day
Because they met on Bumble, the bride and groom decided to incorporate that into some of the decor, personalizing honey jars on a honeycomb structure Derek built. That wasn’t the only thing that had that personal connection on the day of the wedding. With all vendors being close friends of Kayla’s, each and every one had a seat at the reception so they could celebrate with the happy couple!
A Reception Literally Created by Hand
Dinner was hosted on the beautiful lawn which wrapped around the house surrounded by Koi fish ponds and Redwood trees. All of the tables used were handmade by John, the property owner. The couple ended the night with an interactive cover band, which had every single person dancing the night away!
