11 Pairs of Heels You Wish You Wore for the Wedding

Okay. So you have your dress, you’ve figured out your finishing touches (jewelry, undergarments, etc.) and you’ve coasted through your makeup and hair trials, but you’re still on the fence about what to wear on your feet. Browse Christian Louboutin Wedding Shoes like the ones seen above.

Sure, it goes without saying that a bride would LOVE to file down the aisle in an uh-mazing pair of close-to-heaven heels, but the reality is when it comes to what shoes to choose for the big day [for reals] – function wins over fashion.

I say this, because when it came to my fall 2014 wedding, I went with shoes that were gorgeous, but in noooo way practical for my footsies. The ombré rose gold glitter heels a la Kate Spade complemented my blush and ivory gown flawlessly, but I wore them for a total of one hour before my sister (the MOH) was climbing under my gown, mid-ceremony, to retrieve the heels I couldn’t help but hate in the moment. No lie, I shrunk about 4.5 inches after going #barefootbride in the middle of the church. Photos or it didn’t happen? 👇

Now I’m certainly not a high heel novice, and I listened to all the advice when it came to breaking them in well before the wedding day. I spent the weeks before our ‘I Dos’ walking around our apartment in yoga pants and pumps. Seriously. So maybe it really is a universal truth that flats are our friends, at least when it comes to what we should wear for the wedding.

Whether you had an experience like mine and learned the hard way (and are still mourning the fact that your hardly-cheap $hoes spent more time in their pretty shoe bag than on your perfectly-manicured feet), have opted for something realistic, but still recherché (bridal sneakers, holla), or are still deciding on what you’ll do, feel free to scroll through this shoe round up to still get your kicks. Thank you Insta for letting us window shop…
