Okay, so this might sound crazy, but bear with us… we’re going to say that the biggest color trend for bridesmaids RN is white hot. Literally, have you looked at our Insta feed lately? Almost every single bridesmaid pic we’ve posted has spotlighted a squad of crisp, dressed-in-white females. And each one is pure 🔥.

Perhaps as brides explore colors other than white for their own looks, they’re giving their girls a turn with the traditional aisle-style palette. That’s one thought, though we’re still pretty into the all-white fashion cues for the crew, bride included. There’s a lightness, an airyness, an angelic aesthetic in a white ensemble, and you’d be hard pressed to find it from another color. Take celebrities, for example, on their biggest nights - premieres, galas, or award show red carpets - wearing white has proven to be their best decisions ever. Earning them all the paparazzi shots, all the best-dressed accolades after the fact, and hypervigilant stalking from brides who bow down to their aisle-angled color choices.

It’s a trend that has done well in the Hollywood wedding world for years now, and we’re going to be so bold as to say that opting for a fresh white fashion focus - for her supporting cast - is kind of becoming the hallmark of the modern, trendsetting bride. They're the ones we’re watching.

So what do we love about ladies in white?

I mean, a lot, but if you’re a bride contemplating the shade for your sisters, here’s some 🍵 to help you get to YESSS.

  • White is pretty universal, in fact, it might even be more universal than black is for a dress color. You’re going to be able to find it anywhere (bridal salons and boutiques, RTW retailers, online, etc.), and you’ll probably even be able to see it nuanced. Bridal/bridesmaids designers have been working with ‘shades of’ white for DECADES, so if you’re not into stark white, no worries, you’ll probably have a whole family of white swatches to select from.

  • If you’ll be wearing white as the bride, you won't have to stress about your maids stealing your thunder, because you can distinguish yourself with a long gown to their short, mini or midi dresses, OR choose a contrasting fabric, like lace to their satin, crocheted couture to their crepe, or even embellishments, metallic detailing, etc. to their clean silhouettes.

  • Choosing white, too, provides a blank canvas for some awe-inspiring floral artistry. Not only will your besties’ dresses be baller, their bouquets will look bangin in your photos. This goes for jewelry, makeup, hair styles, all the glam, really. Everything stands out against a polished white palette. We promiseeeee!
