I work as a personal trainer to actresses and models for Film and TV. My celebrity clients have included Keri Russell (The Russians, Felicity), Katherine Waterston (Fantastic Beasts, Inherent Vice), Margarita Levieva (The Deuce, How to Make it in America), Shiri Appleby (Life Unexpected), Gretchen Mol (Boardwalk Empire), Hilary Swank (Guelain Perfume Commercial), Marisa Tomei (The Wrestler, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Captain America: Civil War), supermodels Daria Werbowy, Doutzen Kroes, Gemma Ward, and Lily Donaldson.

A significant part of my clientele includes training brides for their wedding day. The bridal workout program is similar to an actress or model preparing for a film role or beauty campaign. The goal includes a specific date to achieve a specific physical aesthetic through exercise and nutrition. Oftentimes, the look includes tone shoulders, a narrow, flat waist, and lean legs to coincide progress in conditioning with wedding dress fittings.

The workout I developed for training brides, actresses, and models to reach this goal within a short period of time involves modified movements—reaching, pulling, partial lunges—and light cardio (i.e., walking comfortably) with a focus on proper posture: neutral position head (not tilted), level and retracted shoulders (not elevated or rounded), neutral pelvis (not forward tilted), knees in line with 2nd and 3rd toes, and both feet pointed straight ahead. 

The most effective style of training for fast weight reduction is circuit training, a very time-efficient series of exercises containing warm up exercises to get the body moving, core stabilization exercises like a floor bridge and crunches, and strength training exercises such as push and pull movements, and rotational movements. Weight loss results from caloric expenditure through exercise and a decrease in caloric intake. All the circuit- training routines with exercises are in my book, The New York Model Workout.
