A Wedding That Surrounded Guests With Floating Clouds Of Baby’s Breath

Share

Some weddings make a statement through bold color or elaborate details. Sydney and Jake chose a different approach at Nichols Heir, proving that thoughtful simplicity can be just as unforgettable.

Inspired by the venue’s clean, contemporary architecture, they embraced a design with florist Meg Kathleen Designs and planner To Have & To Hold Events that felt refined yet welcoming. Soft florals, layered textures, and understated details transformed the modern space into a celebration that was effortlessly romantic from beginning to end, all photographed by Madison Smith Photo & Film.

Detail we love: suspended decor & draping

Guests were welcomed with a striking first impression as a custom welcome sign was suspended from the venue’s exterior, framed by elegant draping that pooled softly onto the ground below. It immediately established the celebration’s refined aesthetic while feeling completely at home within the architecture.

Ceremony design focused on simplicity

The ceremony embraced timeless simplicity. Aisles lined with classic white roses guided guests toward an altar filled with airy baby’s breath and delicate white blooms, creating a setting that felt elegant without overpowering the moment. Every design choice allowed the focus to remain exactly where it belonged—on Sydney and Jake as they exchanged vows.

Timeless wedding flowers: baby’s breath clouds

One of the celebration’s most memorable design moments floated overhead. Delicate baby’s breath cloud installations created an ethereal focal point, introducing movement and dimension while maintaining the ceremony’s light, minimalist aesthetic. The suspended florals added just the right amount of drama without distracting from the overall design, giving the entire space an airy, romantic atmosphere that felt both contemporary and timeless.

The floral palette remained intentionally restrained, relying on classic white roses and soft baby’s breath to create texture and depth rather than overwhelming the space with color.

Effortlessly elegant reception design

The reception carried the same effortless elegance into the evening. A thoughtful mix of white and green details added subtle contrast while maintaining a cohesive, organic palette.

Rather than competing with the architecture or floral installations, every design element complemented the next, creating a room that felt layered, inviting, and beautifully balanced.

Classic wedding themed after elaborate romance

What made Sydney and Jake’s wedding so memorable wasn’t an abundance of elaborate details—it was the confidence to let thoughtful design speak for itself.

From the floating baby’s breath clouds to the timeless ceremony florals and understated reception styling, every element reflected their vision with intention. The celebration never felt overdesigned or overly styled. Instead, it embraced the kind of quiet elegance that never goes out of fashion, creating a wedding that felt deeply personal, beautifully cohesive, and unmistakably theirs.
