Ericsson and Sharon’s love story began quietly and patiently. They had known of each other as teenagers, sharing the same school corridors but never quite crossing paths. Years later, a mutual friend reintroduced them, and from that first gentle date, something unmistakable sparked. With Ericsson leaving for the United States and Sharon moving to Singapore, timing once again pulled them apart. Eleven years later, life reunited them at exactly the right moment. Grateful for the years that shaped them individually, they chose to step into their next chapter together. When it came time to plan their wedding, Ericsson and Sharon dreamed of something intimate, emotional, and deeply connected to nature. They found it in Misty Wonderland, Yangshuo, nestled among Guilin’s iconic karst mountains — a landscape so ethereal it felt suspended between earth and sky.

Destination wedding planned from home
From planner Prep by Agnes‘s perspective, this was a destination wedding shaped almost entirely with imagination, experience, and trust. Planned over 18 months, without a prior site visit, every detail was guided by visual storytelling, cross-border coordination, bilingual communication, weather contingency planning, and precise guest logistics. From virtual site discussions and mock-up models to floral mood boards and online rehearsals, the entire celebration was brought to life remotely.

Thoughtful first look idea
For her first look with her parents, captured by Louis Gan Photography, Sharon held up a photo from her childhood before lowering it to reveal her wedding day look.

Timeless style, thoughtfully layered
Sharon embraced a romantic, classic-vintage ceremony look, featuring delicate lace and soft textures that echoed the nostalgic tone of their story.

On trend: floral purse bouquet
The bride carried a work-of-art floral purse bouquet made from white Cala lilies and accented with a peach rose and pearls.

Old-world elegance, modern sophistication
Ericsson complemented her beautifully in a classic tuxedo with a refined silk lapel, balancing old-world elegance with modern sophistication.

Bridal glam: clean & soft
Hair and makeup by Chloe Pang Makeup Studio reflected the philosophy of clean, soft-glam elegance that enhanced natural features while adapting beautifully across each moment — timeless, confident, and radiant.

Underrated detail: mountain mist
On the wedding morning, soft mist settled gently over the mountains. As Sharon walked down the aisle through the fog, the mountains stood still, quietly bearing witness. In that moment — surrounded by silence and emotion — everything aligned.

A look that evolved over the evening
As the celebration transitioned into dinner, the looks evolved into something sleeker and more luminous. Satin fabrics introduced movement and glow, maintaining harmony with the ceremony’s romance while elevating the evening’s energy. For their first dance and after-party, glamour took center stage — pearls, crystal accents, and shimmering satin for the bride, paired with a sharp black ensemble and crisp white vest for the groom. Each look told a chapter of the day, seamlessly flowing from tradition to celebration.
