Katie and Lauren attended the same law school, just not at the same time. They met because one of Katie’s best friends, who also knew Lauren, invited them both to a “networking lunch.” Naturally, the lunch was a success, functioning far less like a business connection and much more like the beginning of something special. Years later, Katie and Lauren were engaged in Yosemite. It was a snowy, quiet weekend in the park, and as they stepped off the trail into a secluded glen, Lauren got down on one knee and proposed. They kept the news to themselves for the rest of the weekend, savoring the quiet getaway, and shared their engagement with their families once they returned home. Having both grown up in California, Katie and Lauren knew their wedding would celebrate what they love most about the Northern coast. Planned with the help of Wedding in Color and captured by ComePlum, their wedding was a joyful (and colorful!) celebration filled with love.

Featured designer: Timothy Westbrook
Both brides’ outfits were designed by Timothy Westbrook. Lauren wore a white jumpsuit with a lace overlay, while Katie’s ensemble included cropped brocade pants, a white bra top, long-sleeved lace, and a dramatic cape. Each look was carefully crafted to reflect pride in personal style — comfortable, sexy, and distinctly bridal — without relying on a traditional gown. Every detail, from fabric and embroidery to design and fiber, was thoughtfully considered.

Pops of color against an earthy backdrop
Their lush venue, The Holly Farm, featured earthen paths surrounded by rich native flora, leading to an altar adorned with colorful strands of plants — from purple to red, orange, and pink — suspended from a wooden branch.
