After swiping right during a trip, Jay and Shannon’s love story was paused until Shannon happened to walk into one of the local bars near her one night, only to find Jay behind the counter. That unexpected reunion became the spark they needed to set off the rest of their love story. Because they both love music and are inspired by adventure, Shannon and Jay envisioned a wedding that felt soulful, welcoming, and deeply personal. On a late-September day, they exchanged vows at Fernbrook Farms, transforming the beloved local venue into a true destination experience for nearly 200 guests. As the sun dipped low, golden light spilled across the zinnia fields, setting an ethereal scene for their outdoor tented celebration captured by Alexa Lynn Photography.

Style inspiration: luxe meets lived-in
The luxe meets lived-in vibe began with the invitation suite that featured a watercolor envelope liner, laser cut details, and perfect neutral-meets-fall color palette.

Hairstyling by the bride herself!
Personal touches made the large-scale celebration feel intimate. The bridal party’s hair was styled by Shannon herself through her Sunny Daze Salon, while the thoughtfully designed signage came from the groom’s family-owned stationery company—proof that the most meaningful weddings are built together.

The groomsmen: chic neutrals
The groomsmen were outfitted in the perfect late summer / early fall tan suits, while Jay opted for a lighter brown.

Timeless choice: a private first look
The couple opted for a private first look on the grounds of Fernbrook Farms before joining their guests for the ceremony.

Boho spirit: a rug-lined aisle
Every design detail reflected Shannon and Jay’s bohemian spirit. A rug-lined aisle led to a macramé ceremony arch handcrafted by The Indie Blu, while warm, fall-hued florals by Petite Petals Floral framed the day with an organic, sun-kissed feel. Shannon’s long-held vision of a wildflower-filled wedding came beautifully to life, captured with warmth by Alexa Lynn Photography.
