The bride and groom at this sunlit lakeside wedding originally met through friends at a country music festival in the Washington Gorge, and from the moment their paths crossed, something just clicked. What started as a chance introduction in the middle of great music and sunset views quickly turned into something much deeper, and they’ve been together ever since! Planned with the help of The Indigo Bride and captured by Alyson Hall Photography, this wedding at Black Butte Ranch captured every green and golden detail through a vintage editorial-inspired lens.

On trend: butter yellow bridesmaid dresses
When it came to the wedding party, the goal was to create an atmosphere where everyone felt fully themselves. The bride encouraged the bridesmaids to choose butter yellow dresses that suited their style and comfort, and they did their own makeup as well. Seeing each of them step into the day feeling confident and authentic made the celebration feel even more personal and joyful.

Bridal beauty inspo: au natural
The bride wore satin ballgown with spaghetti straps, a minimally trimmed veil, and the most stunning natural hair and makeup by The Wildeflower Collective.

Always in style: classic black-tie

Detail we love: centric ceremony seating
One of the most meaningful and unique elements of the wedding design was the ceremony seating. Instead of traditional rows, guests were arranged in a way that allowed them to face one another and to face the couple, creating a sense of warmth and connection that they’ll never forget. It set the tone for an intimate, heartfelt ceremony, wrapping everyone in an energy that felt both communal and deeply personal.

Vintage film-inspired photography
One thing that brought that extra-special element to the photography throughout the day was a vintage touch featuring muted film-inspired filters and soft lines.

Color palette: green and golden
The couple opted for a green and golden palette, brough to life through centerpieces by Roots Wild featuring a variety of wildflowers that popped against the black and tan backdrop.

After-the-fact advice from the couple
“Looking back on our wedding day, our biggest piece of advice is simple: stay by each other’s side. The day moves faster than you can ever imagine, and sharing every moment together, big or small, makes the experience so much richer. From greeting guests to slipping away for a quiet breath together, those shared moments became some of our favorite memories.”

On trend: vintage-inspired cake
The couple cut into a vintage-inspired heart-shaped cake for two with “Just Married” in script across the top.
