the vision: wonderland

Alice tumbled down the rabbit hole while fleeing a rather dreadful marriage proposal. Too bold and too free to wed for her mother’s comfort alone, she chose adventure instead. In Wonderland, she met the Queen of Hearts, the Mad Hatter, the White Rabbit, and a whole host of curious characters. And so, from that very Mad Tea Party, a new tale begins—reimagined by Margarita Weddings as a wedding feast where love is the truest magic of all. Here, the beautiful Alice and her groom celebrate a happily-ever-after in the most enchanting of ways.

The team played into the natural beauty of En Kefallinia, using oversized, whimsical decor to create a unique ceremony space. Then, they leaned into the theme of the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party for the reception with lush pastel floral arrangements by Benetatos Flowers and a collection of vintage and antique tea sets.

We love how Dusi Psano pulled little details from the inspiration, like the gilded top hat and raven accents, but kept the rest of the suite timeless and elegant. This is a great example of how to use inspiration without taking your theme too literally.

the fashion

For the fairytale affair, the bride wore a dreamy blue tulle gown by Millia London with three-dimensional chiffon flowers adorning the bodice. The groom, too, leaned away from tradition in a light gray suit with a navy blue shirt and bowtie combo, and a bright pink boutonniere that was intriguing, to say the least.
