their love story

Taylor and Nick’s love story reached a beautiful milestone during a romantic getaway to Cancun. As the sun set over a secluded beach, Nick surprised Taylor with a stunning bouquet of flowers and a heartfelt proposal—complete with a secretly arranged photographer who captured every intimate moment. The couple spent the rest of the week celebrating their engagement surrounded by the warmth and beauty of Mexico, marking the beginning of their next chapter.

the vision: southern charm

Their wedding was designed by Plan It Terra as a celebration of romantic Southern charm meets classic elegance—a blend of soft femininity and timeless sophistication inspired by the grace of LoveShackFancy and the couple’s Southern roots. Every detail was intentional, cohesive, and deeply personal. The florals were dynamic, feminine, and sweet, anchored in shades of pink, blue, and soft neutrals. Although peonies were out of season, the floral team at Sugarberry Blooms surprised Taylor by sourcing light pink peonies exclusively for her, placing them thoughtfully throughout the space for an emotional and heartfelt touch.

A U-shaped head table framed by candlelight served as the reception’s stunning centerpiece, while the white ceremony stage was later repurposed for the DJ to keep the celebration flowing. Guests enjoyed an elevated Southern menu from Ces & Judy’s, including their signature carrot soufflé—typically only served at Easter—made specially for the couple. The Westwind Hills bar team delivered a full bar experience featuring signature cocktails, after-dinner cordials, and a late-night espresso martini bar beside the dance floor for a chic nightcap.

the invitations

From the deckled edges to the watercolor monogram, every bit of this invitation suite was handmade. It’s pretty; it’s formal, but it’s still fun. We also love it when couples choose a different color envelope for the RSVP card!

the fashion

Taylor wore a silk-blend gown chosen for its understated glamour, made uniquely hers with a custom oversized bow on her left shoulder—a detail echoed throughout the wedding design. The bridesmaids wore soft blue gowns from Show Me Your Mumu with bow accents on the back, perfectly complementing the event’s pastel floral palette. Nick and his groomsmen embraced a clean, classic look: simple, elegant, and refined.
