After both coming from previous marriages and raising children of their own, Nicole and Jay took their time getting to know each other outside of work. They introduced their children gradually, allowing each relationship to develop naturally at its own pace. In time, the couple realized how seamlessly they fit together as a family. While building their home in Naples, Florida, Jay planned a surprise proposal, marking not only their move into a new house but also a new chapter in their lives together. Nicole and Jay’s beachfront wedding in Florida, planned with the help of Lisa London Events and captured by Anastasiia Photography, unfolded with a serene waterfront ceremony and a reception that transformed into an intimate speakeasy experience.

Color palette: classic black & white
Classic black & white invitations set the stage for this luxe event outfitted in the same palette.

Bold bridal styling
Nicole embraced bold fashion, wearing a fully beaded, one-shoulder designer gown by Jane Hill with cutouts — an ethereal nod to a siren of the sea.

Featured venue: La Playa Beach Resort
Hosted at La Playa Beach and Golf Resort in Naples, guests sat facing the water, golden light dancing across the waves as a live band played. On a raised platform at the altar, Nicole and Jay exchanged vows surrounded by lush floral arrangements by Isn’t She Lovely, with Nicole’s brother officiating.

Intimate marina dinner inspiration
Dinner for the intimate group followed, with two long tables set beneath greenery strung with twinkle lights offering sweeping views of the marina.

Little black (guest) book
Guests signed a black guestbook featuring the same font as their monogrammed seating wall and menus.

An after-dinner speakeasy
The most dramatic transformation came next, as guests entered the reception: a space draped in black fabric, lit only by hundreds of candles, with mirrored tables, a custom bar, and a uniquely designed dance floor. The atmosphere was distinctly “speakeasy,” layered with opulence and drama.

White roses & candlelight
Rows upon rows of single-stem roses by Isn’t She Lovely created a striking floral statement, while the curated mood made the evening feel unforgettable. Reflecting on their effortless celebration, Nicole and Jay shared, “We wanted to go back and do it all over again.”
