Hosted at Hotel Kansas City and captured by Ashley Ice Photography, Melissa and Dan’s wedding was the perfect balance of timeless elegance and lively celebration. Planned with the help of Nellie Sparkman, their wedding featured many of the traditional black-tie elements that we know and love while also incorporating exciting details like a canopy of candles and a reception dress to-die-for.

Canopy of candlelight

The reception at Hotel Kansas City was a vision of refined romance—neutral florals, lace linens, and candlelight beneath a canopy of greenery. Every detail was intentional, from custom wax seals to signature cocktails that reflected the couple’s personalities.
