Kalea & Sam’s vision for their wedding was a timeless day focused on true love and marriage. Their wedding was a fairytale from start to finish from the ceremony under the moss-covered oak trees, to Kalea in a stunning gown fit for a princess, and plenty of romantic florals that leaned into the idea of “Happily Ever After.” Planned with the help of Elle Gray Events with florals by Westovers Flowers, this wedding at Colonial at Sunset is the perfect “how-to” for capturing timeless Southern wedding style.

Neutral invitations were set inside of envelopes with charming watercolor floral inserts.

The bride’s sparkling Maggie Sottero mermaid gown was a nod to her time when she was a Princess Ariel at Disney, and a pair of Cinderella-inspired shoes were her something blue.

Their outdoor ceremony under the Spanish Oak trees at The Colonial at Sunset was set amidst the venue’s serene nature. Simple rose stems lined the aisle and the groom’s emotions seeing his bride brought all the guests to tears.
Pink and white reception design
The couple’s first dance took place inside the venue surrounded by friends and family sitting at tables featuring pink tapered candles and white textured centerpieces.
Rose champagne tower > wedding cake
The couple opted to swap a cake cutting for a champagne tower instead. The pink bubbly rose tower was a fun surprise for guests as the couple poured the champagne and toasted to their exciting next chapter.
