Rachel and Mike’s destination wedding at Mas Torroella, a luxury villa in Girona, Spain, was the ultimate romantic escape—chosen online, sight unseen, as the perfect backdrop for a weeklong celebration with their closest friends and family. Despite an unexpected chill in the June air, the vibrant, color-filled design (inspired by Rachel’s own Pinterest boards) brought warmth and energy to every moment, from the heartfelt ceremony featuring personalized aisle songs to the lively reception filled with dancing, wine, and glowing candlelight under the pergola. Keep scrolling to see how it all came together with the help of Marry Me in Spain and captured on camera by The Hazel Club Photo.

When the bride is a graphic designer …
Rachel, a graphic designer, crafted all the stationery herself. The invitation suite featured a custom watercolor image of the venue and delicate, contemporary fonts.

2-in-1 customized wedding dress
Custom fashion made a statement, with Mike in a teal bespoke suit and Rachel in a gown that later transformed into a playful party dress, perfectly fitting for a night of dancing and toasting under the Spanish sky.

Muted rainbow ceremony design
Bride Rachel worked closely with Marry Me in Spain and Rams N Roses to bring her vision to life, complete with lush local florals, fruits, and natural wood details. The ceremony, in particular, featured a muted rainbow of roses and other whimsical flowers throughout both the aisle arrangements and the asymmetrical arches.

Abstract watercolor seating chart
Guests found their seats at each of the two banquet tables using an abstract watercolor seating chart from Woowlow on a simple white easel.

Sophisticated and citrus-inspired design
Citrus-accented floral arrangements and actual lemons and grapefruits added a pop of yellow to the centerpieces. A warm creamy orange table runner also stood out against the otherwise purple details. The same abstract watercolor designs seen in the seating chart were carried through for the dinner menus and place cards.

Floral-accented couple’s-only cake
Rachel and Mike cut into a small, floral-accented wedding cake from Monchos Catering before dancing the night away!
