Styling an effortlessly chic bridal look

Most brides want to feel effortless and chic for their destination wedding, so this bride decided to forgo a fussier gown and keep her attire modern and weather-appropriate with this elegant and chic – yet understated – satin wedding gown from ASOS. It was paired with freshwater pearl drop earrings from Blair Nadeau Bridal Adornments, an on-trend bridal ponytail, and baby pink pumps! Both the hair and makeup by Jenny McKinney helped create a bridal style that was perfect for an effortlessly chic destination wedding.

How to create a tropical or Mediterranean-inspired event

From hand-painted vases on the table to citrus fruits and patterned linens to colorful florals throughout the ceremony and reception, this design with rentals courtesy of Perspective Event Design and florals by Valley Bloom Co. does not shy away from pattern, texture, and color! Wishbone wood chairs and a subtle patterned linen elevate this design without overcomplicating it. The combination of terracotta vases, summer florals, fresh citrus fruits, and patterned plates create a colorful yet cohesive design that is perfect for that tropical destination vibe, while still incorporating unique elements that make the design stand out. It even incorporates blue and white striped napkins that tie into the already-present tones of the Greek-inspired architecture of the venue!

Celebrate with a Mediterranean honeymoon!

Beyond the breathtaking wedding inspiration, a secondary look was also created and captured: the honeymoon! The pictures by the pool look like a luxe private villa in Greece or a high-end resort in Mexico. The newlyweds were styled in resort-chic attire, and the bride’s sunglasses were blue to complement the color palette and decor. The goal was to capture the experience that many couples who choose a destination wedding have: a destination honeymoon that immediately follows their destination wedding. It’s easy to see that no matter the point you’re at in your wedding celebration, you can’t go wrong with that tropical or Mediterranean vibe!
