Family has always been an important part of this couple's story

Nathan and Sierra met working together at Yardhouse Restaurant in Boise. Many long nights at the restaurant quickly turned into a great friendship, and over time, a great relationship developed. Nathan surprised Sierra on his birthday by proposing while they were visiting his family in California. He had the ring inside a cake popper stand, which definitely took Sierra by surprise!

The color scheme had a special meaning to the bride

For the wedding, Sierra knew she wanted the colors to include a shade of dusty rose that was an homage to her parent's wedding colors. They have been the ultimate example in her life of what a marriage should look like, so it was her little nod to their love and special day.

Chic DIY elements helped this couple stay on a budget

A lot of the DIY work was done on Sierra's mother in law's Cricut machine, which was used to print out the wedding programs and thank you notes. These were displayed on top of the charger plates for a more personal touch. She also helped put together DIY charcuterie cups for cocktail hour that were perfect for appetizers!

Personalized reception settings added a special touch to the day

Sierra's mom found so much of their glassware secondhand, and it was displayed beautifully on the bridal party table. Almost all the glasses were different, which added a really elegant touch to the rustic-chic inspiration for the table decor.

Delicate natural flowers and lace set the tone

Sierra's mom also found off-white lace doilies online to go on the wood centerpieces for the guest's table. They tied in with the details of the lace on the bride's dress perfectly while also helping dress up the wood for a more formal look.

Gauze table-runners were delicate and elegant

The gauze /cheesecloth table runners added elegance and paired great with each of the candle holders and votives, which were laid out on the tables as well.

A DIY candy cabin stole the show

The bride's mother and now mother-in-law did an incredible job with the decor - their attention to detail was impeccable. They were the ones who came up with the idea of having a "candy cabin" where the guests could fill up bags of candy (both the bride and groom have major sweet tooths!).

The candy bags also included the couple's wedding hashtag. The candy was displayed in clear candy jars with scoops that really made the cabin look very polished and classy. A lot of the candy even had either rose gold or gold accents on them to keep them within the color pallet.

elegant wedding dress

The bride wore a dress fit for a princess

The bride wore a dress from Margene's Bridal in Boise, designed by Allure Bridal. It brought her romantic princess dreams to life! The blush underlining of the dress really made the intricate white lace detail stand out beautifully.

The groom's wedding ring had Koa Wood in it, which reminded him of not only of his father's wedding ring, but also of the special family trips he had to Hawaii growing up. The wood created a stunning contrast with the white gold around it.

It was so hard for the couple to pick their favorite part, but they did!

What did the bride say was her favorite part of the day? "I thought I would be nervous saying our vows out loud," said Sierra, "but they truly just flowed out of me very naturally and I just felt very at peace saying our vows in front of our loved ones."

She also went on to rave, "The night really ended magically with the sparkler send-off. It was an incredible feeling looking at all of our closest family and friends as they lit the way for us to start our lives together. It was just so special, and I felt an immense amount of gratitude at that moment."
