Two Families Become One In This Scenic Adventure Elopement In The Sedona Desert

Share

Adventure Elopement

There is nothing more formative than shared experience to bring people together. An adventure wedding is guaranteed to do just that. For their micro-wedding, this couple and their closest family members went on an off-road adventure in the Sedona desert where they all made memories that will last a lifetime…and they did it in style. With breathtaking views, a gorgeous lace gown, and some pretty cool rides, you won’t want to miss this wedding!

Keep scrolling to see these scenic photos by Adventure and VowSedona Mountain High Flowers created stunning and resilient floral arrangements that could handle the trip and the desert heat. You can see all the images in the full gallery. Read on to hear more from photographer Traci, from Adventure and Vow, about this crazy gorgeous day in Sedona!

OFF THE BEATEN PATH

Adventure Elopement

Jennifer and Bryce wanted an intimate elopement somewhere beautiful with a dinner to follow that looked like it had appeared in nature. We set up an epic elopement location that their family could also get to, via off-roading, riding in the Jeep rentals provided by both Barlow Jeeps and Red Rock Rubicon. We ventured high up into the desert for an awesome view of Sedona, Arizona. Jennifer’s mother and father walked her down the trail in her beautiful Bilnova Couture dress to her soon-to-be husband as the rest of the family gathered around. They wanted their ceremony to be more than vows and be interactive for their family. They made a unity cocktail that was passed around to each family member to start off the ceremony. After the vows and formalities, they had a family member from each side come up to sign the marriage license before sealing the deal with a kiss! After the ceremony, we set out to explore the rock ledges for couples photos, share a beer and soak in the sunset.

 FAMILY-STYLE

Adventure Elopement

We returned to where the couple was staying for dinner–a beautiful property in wine country, surrounded by the river, and lots of land under the beautiful starry sky. The dinner set up was stunning, just like a fairytale. They had the chefs at Into The Fire prepare a salad and cheese board for appetizers as everyone trickled in from the trail. Following that, wood-fired pizzas. The family shared laughs, stories, and toasts before the couple cut their cake from Sedona Bakery for everyone to enjoy. Following dinner, everyone retreated inside to relax and reflect on the day as Jennifer and Bryce joined me for stargazing on the balcony. Jennifer and Bryce’s day was a perfect example of an adventure elopement that was connective, fun, and beautiful, all while including family. It was the best of both worlds, tying together a traditional ceremony and reception, but also having a unique intimate day in nature.
