SETTING THE MOOD
The design for this shoot was really inspired by the characteristics of the venue. The winery has a very romantic atmosphere. The lights are usually quite dim and the venue is surrounded by rolling hills of the lush overflowing vineyards of grapevines. The winery has a lot of quaint candlelit corners that enchant you with romance.
We see touches of the moody design throughout the photos, with the black Chiavari chairs and black tabletop candles and charger plates. As well as the darker foliage accents in the florals. Our napkins were shaped like roses because many vineyards’ plant rose bushes alongside the grapes to maintain the health of the two plants together (what grows together, goes together also applies to design!)
FINISHING TOUCHES
The wedding dress and hair accessories have a vineyard leaf pattern on them that ties in the vineyard element to the wedding design. The lush vineyard features are also accented through the hanging greenery on the wedding altar and above the dinner table.
A PERFECT PAIRING
At the end of this dark romantic love story, there must be cake! We decided to go with a moody berry cake, to further compliment the design element of vineyard grapes and berries.
