After spending time abroad in Italy, bride Melissa grew closer to her Italian heritage which became the underlying concept for their wedding. Together she and her restaurateur groom Drew offered both a breathtaking and palate pleasing Italian inspired wedding to their guests. They chose Viansa Winery located on a hilltop with 270 degree views of the Sonoma Valley a dream started by Italian immigrants back in 1904 that came to fruition in 1989.

Pronovias bridal gown
For a moment in time you feel like you are in Tuscany. The bride wore a Pronovias bridal gown paired with Badgley Mischka embellished heels and was absolutely radiant. Their family pup Chloe was included in all aspects of their wedding day from start to finish.
After the devastating Tubbs fire in 2017 and most recently the Kincade fire in 2019 I personally find it valuable to the Napa/Sonoma wine country to showcase the substantial natural beauty that is still very much present and the magical landscape of wine country.
The entire celebration was enjoyed al fresco allowing their guests to admire the vast beauty of the Italian inspired winery and its amazing views. Their menu consisted of locally sourced Italian inspired dishes of Fig & Arugula Salad, Parmesan Crusted Chicken, and Crispy-Mascarpone Polenta Cakes served family style by caterers Park Avenue Catering.
Tablescape Design
The tablescape was a collaboration between the bride and her father, how cute is that?! The goal of the design aesthetic was to compliment the outdoor beauty of the winery with an organic color palette. Julie Stevens Design created the most gorgeous lush bouquets and flowy centerpieces that were accented by rosemary, olive, and basil.
Three Different Cakes
The Sangiovese, Vermentino, Rose, Brut, and White Blend flowed all evening and “tavolo da dessert” capped the evening with Pistachio Gelato, Tiramisu, Cannolis, French Press Coffee, and three different cake flavors.
Along with their dessert display their wedding cake offered guests the option of a chocolate chip cake with espresso buttercream or pumpkin cake with cream cheese frosting from Flour and Bloom Cakes. And if guests were still hungry servers passed brick oven made mini pizzettas for a late night snack from Park Avenue Catering!
