Burgundy, blue, and gold is a unique color palette but we have to say, Catherine and Asagai’s big day has us wishing for even more of this beautiful combo. Paired with a gorgeous garden wedding ceremony where elegant gold chairs lined a rose petal-strewn aisle this color palette was pure magic! Each bridesmaid in burgundy and groomsman in blue popped against the lush greenery that surrounded, and the bride swept down the aisle in golden butterfly heels!

Catherine and Asagai have a deep love of water – they met at a seaside bar in Maryland and were engaged at the beach. The couple went with a blue, burgundy and gold color scheme with wood elements and an anchor theme for their destination wedding at a marina in Southern California.
“We are from the D.C. area and decided to have our wedding in California, because it is a place we both love,” Catherine says, and putting her faith in her wedding planner, they were able to connect with amazing vendors and even relax a bit. Among her favorite details were the flowers, a custom bar with their monogram, and her shoes. Also memorable was the DJed dance party, which got everyone out of their seats. “Our families hadn’t even all met before the wedding, so the fact everyone came together in that moment to dance was very special to us,” she says.
For other couples planning their nuptials, Catherine says a destination wedding is “completely worth it! It all ended up really coming together and being even better than I could have imagined it.”
