The perfect day
Ashley and Michael tied the knot on a sunny September Sunday, and it’s not an exaggeration to say that every single second of their day was thoughtful and sweet. Ashley teared up countless times – all happy tears, of course!
Ashley’s bridal ensemble was flawless, with all the romantic, sparkly details. The soft blushes and greenery helped highlight the natural beauty of the venue, which is inherently beautiful in its own right. Between the history of the venue (it was built by George Washington!) and the history that Ashley and Michael have together, the entire day felt so genuinely steeped in emotion.
The Ceremony & Reception
There wasn’t a dry eye in the house when they read their handwritten vows. And in terms of aisle style, Ashley’s was definitely one for the books! Her dad drove her up to the ceremony spot in his vintage Chevrolet, where they walked down the aisle together. Ashley and Michael had the cutest moment after their first kiss where Mike needed a little assistance in removing Ashley’s bold lip color from his own. 😉
The reception hosted fresh mocktails, delicious crab cakes, an ice cream bar, and featured a special vocal performance from the groom himself!
