Romantic Blush Gold Wedding: Chic Summer Celebration

Share

Happy bride and groom share a tender moment

Heather and Dan wanted a summer chic feel with a romantic touch. The themes of the day were gold and blush with tons of floral touches and  gold foil featured everywhere!
The couple loves succulents and wanted tons of bright, beautiful flowers everywhere. Since gold was such a major constant throughout all the decor, they even had a few succulents spray-painted gold so they’d stand out! Prepare yourself for tons of other cute little gray, peach and gold wedding ideas, all of which can be found in the full gallery here, photographed by Jenny Smith & Co.

Remember It’s About The Marriage

Part of me wishes I hadn’t focused so much on the teeny tiny details or gotten caught up in the minutia that day-of doesn’t really matter (like hotel welcome bags for instance!). But, in the end, it was those little things that helped make the day (and entire weekend) as amazing as it was. My advice would be to not sweat the small stuff and try and enjoy/soak up the experience as much as you can. It’s cheesy to say but it really isn’t about the wedding, it’s about the marriage. The hardest part is finding the person and everything beyond that is icing on the cake.

The Big Little Moments

My favorite moment is so hard to pin down. I absolutely loved every minute of it – from the ceremony to the grand entrance, the dancing to the cake cutting. There was one moment when we thanked everyone for coming that I looked around and saw nearly 250 smiling happy faces, full of warmth and joy, all there to celebrate Dan and I. I knew in that moment how tremendously and overwhelmingly special that moment was. At the very end of the night, both Dan and I went up on our friends shoulders for one major final dance – that was also pretty incredible and memorable!

The Three Wedding P’s

The entire thing flies by and is so fleeting – try and just be as present and in the moment as you can. Lean on others! My fiancé was so incredibly helpful and we were a team throughout the planning process. Also, in choosing your vendors, I was given a great piece of advice that I’d love to pass along. Focus on the 3 “P’s”: Personality, Product & Price! Some of your vendors spend your entire wedding day with you so you might as well make sure you really like them and enjoy their company first! Lastly, our day of coordinator Tricia Dahlgren was truly the wind beneath our wings! I didn’t have one worry all day long!

Have Shoes On Backup!

Wear comfy shoes or definitely have 2 pairs ready to wear! I had my pretty Kate Spades that were photographed and worn in photos… but by the time my ceremony was over I already needed to change. I switched into comfy heels and then a couple hours later put on the sandals we provided for our guests! It took 3 pairs of shoes to get me through the day/night!Get in on all the feels when you watch the video below, filmed by Shawn Lloyd.
