Intimate gatherings are sometimes the most meaningful, that is why Bill and Sarah chose to keep their guest list to a quaint party of 50. This way they could spend the day with all of their guests as well as with each other. Smart couple!
Beautifully captured by Amanda Nippoldt Photography, this vintage summer love wedding is worth seeing more of. Be sure to visit the full gallery and don’t miss a single detail.

From Amanda Nippoldt Photography: When chatting with Bill and Sarah about their July wedding date, both of them described how important it was to them to keep their wedding small and intimate. The 100-year old Negaunee Union Station Depot ended up serving as the perfect location. Sarah chose to offset the historic location by bringing in a whimsical design that was carried out through almost every detail during the wedding day.

When guests arrived, they were seated under a sprawling oak tree that served as the backdrop for Bill and Sarah’s ceremony. The pair said their vows beneath a custom arbor covered in pastel ribbons and delicate flowers

Private Newlywed Picnic

Bill and Sarah wanted to enjoy their day with their guests and as well as each other. They shared how they are avid hikers, bikers, and skiers, so they needed a venue that provided ample outdoor space and flexibility for their wedding day design.

Doilies and Desserts

Cocktail hour was hosted outside of the Union Station Depot; their guests were treated to drinks, snacks, yard games and cotton candy. For dinner, friends and family were ushered inside to a romantic candlelight dinner. Continuing with the whimsical décor, Sarah chose ivory dahlias, roses and peach carnations for centerpieces and added texture to the tables with lace doilies.

Sarah also made homemade Limoncello that served as their place cards and a nod to her new husband’s Italian heritage. The couple and their 50 guests ended the night nibbling on desserts, playing board games and roasting s’mores!
