Red And Teal Wedding With Playful Details

Share

Bride and groom smiling on their wedding day indoors

Kate and Colin wanted their wedding to be all about one thing; Fun! The event was colorful and light, cherry red and teal were the colors of the day with stick figures from their stationery popping up throughout the day.
Super cute illustrated menus and a delightful dessert table with tons of variety added life to the day along with the rest of the darling decor. Get ready to smile your way through this red and teal wedding with playful details in the full gallery here, captured by Joel Bedford.

Words from The Bride

Colin and I are huge fans of the book Me Without You by Lisa Swerling and Ralph Lazar, so the inspiration for our ceremony back drop came from that. We also gathered a lot of inspiration from the internet – choosing to keep the decorations simple and more on the cutesy side.

My advice for future brides is simple – make a to-do list, and stick to it. If you fall behind on your list, you can simply re-evaluate what tasks are most important to you and let go of anything that isn’t a top priority. No DIY task is worth losing sleep or stressing over. Our favorite part of the day was our ceremony. We wrote the ceremony itself, chose two readings that really speak to how we view love and our relationship, wrote our own vows, and had a friend perform it for us. The entire thing from start to finish felt exceptionally special. That said, our biggest regret is not hiring someone to make a video of it – it went by way too fast!
