The inspiration behind our soft, summery styled shoot was the playful romance of a whimsical rose-hued wedding. The combination of pinks, whites, and gold in the color palette infused a timeless and playful feminine allure that we couldn’t get enough of. Pink is having its moment right now, so we really wanted to fully embrace this beautiful color and all of the whimsy it carries with it.
To further embody a soft and ethereal design aesthetic, we incorporated lots of fluffy flowers and greenery into the shoot and displayed them in an interesting format, such as having florals crawl up the brick wall in the lounge and ceremony spaces, and having florals hanging overhead at the dining table. We find that a thoughtful flower design is extremely effective to further emphasize the theme and vibe of any kind of special occasion.
Intricate paper details and other unexpected accents (such as blush spray roses in the cocktail glasses!) further added to the soft ambiance of the shoot. It was important to add small touches of out-of-the-box elements that weren’t overly “done up”. These additional refined aspects presented our feminine aesthetic in a timeless, yet still modern way.
We also wanted to make sure the design was something realistic for Wedding Chicks readers to actually implement in their real wedding plans, so we made sure each element of the design was something that could be easily accomplished with the help of their wedding team. Anything is possible with a creative design vision and a team of talented vendors by your side!
