I am a native of New England and have been planning weddings for over 10 years in this area. I wanted a change in scenery and wanted to design in an area that was the complete opposite of what we have here. I have always been a lover of the desert, who doesn’t love a good cactus or mountain view! We were honored to work at the Four Season in Scottsdale Arizona and it was the perfect location, it had the mountain top views and those little bits of greenery that I was looking for.
Style there is usually very modern and I wanted to bring some of that classic New England vibe to our shoot. I always love playing with texture and layering and we worked with a color palette of blues, greens, and sandy tones to compliment the desert feel. The limes and rosemary where all hand picked from trees outside of where we were staying and they smelled oh-so-fresh! The Cake! I really wanted something totally different and decided to play with Oreo’s to form a very intriguing, yummy cake!”
