Yours, Mine & Our Style

From Love Letters by Kayla: The shoot took place on April 19th, 2016 at RDV Vineyards. The models are a real life couple who were dating at the time and are now engaged to be married this upcoming May.

The inspiration for this shoot was based around family and where the couple had come from. Family is such a special thing to so many people but especially during a wedding. The idea was that the bride wanted to have a vintage but yet modern feel to the whole day that would be a crossover of her grandmother’s and her taste in style. The bride’s dress was styled after her grandmother’s wedding dress but with a little bit of a modern twist with the open back.

A Mix Of Old And New

The flowers were kept simple yet very elegant to create a timeless look alongside the green and tan colors that aren’t used very often but a very beautiful combination. The table setting was styled more of a modern style to incorporate the couple’s style into the wedding but the flowers were similar to the bouquets to tie everything together.

Last but not least the venue was decided based off the bride’s family’s Italian heritage and the family’s winery before coming to America. The wedding was a simple but elegant affair that honored family but showed the couple’s style all at the same time.
