20 of Our Favorite Gowns for Girls With Curves

Chicks! The bridal industry is currently going through a MAJORRRR update, and we couldn’t be any more excited about it. For years, brides with curves had very little to choose from when it came to their wedding day fashion – wayyy oversized and shapeless silhouettes (thanks to Show Me Your Mumu, though, that term now has a cult following), tacky fabrics, hardly any straight-sized styles adapted for larger busts, butts, hips, or tummies, and barely any opportunities to try on anything that was available in their own size, in stores. Online or bust…. Blehh. But thanks to some incredible designers and all-inclusive ateliers, who understand that #realbrides come in ALL shapes and sizes, that’s been changing in the last few years. And we’re here for it. Always and forever. 🙌🙌🙌

Some brands have been celebrating curves for as long as we can remember. David’s Bridal, Maggie Sottero, we’re talking about you, while others are just now releasing curated capsules and collections for curvy brides. Either way, though, it’s happening and the diversity is absolutely delicious.

So, we scanned over some of our top picks from NYBFW and scoured IG for some of the sickest shots of curvy brides in drop dead gorgeous gowns, just to show you that the curvy wedding couture isn’t just shoppable online, it’s aesthetic AF. Getting worn and rocked by tonssss of real life brides and getting picked up for more iterations season after season.
