Where You Get Ready the Morning Of Your Wedding Matters

Share

We’ve spoken a lot about what you can’t forget to do the morning of your wedding, what to have on hand for the perfect getting-ready powwow with your posse (an epic playlist, super cute robes or pjs, etc.), and especially what drinks and snacks have to be stocked for the occasion, but what about the place that you’ll be doing everything in? The venue for your pre-vow party should be a priority too! And we’ve discovered the most amazing setting for you (the bride) and your squad to kick off your slay for the day. It’s called Boxwood Villa and it is owned by the same people who brought you the Market at Grelen. So, you know it’s going to be beautiful!

It’s universal and it’s understandable given the magnitude of the day and everything that could go wrong (but 🤞🤞🤞doesn’t). But if she can wake up feeling rested – seriously, sleeping the night before the wedding is a total question mark – and get ready in a place that’s super chill, roomy enough to spread out, and photogenic AF, then she should be starting things off on the right foot.

Happy. Energetic. Thrilled to be alive on this #blessed day.

So much more than a bridal suite.

Boxwood Villa is a lovely 1891 home set on a beautiful 13.6 acre property. The venue is the perfect place for the quintessential “Secret Garden Wedding.” Surrounded by 100-year-old Boxwood bushes and vintage oak trees, Boxwood Villa is perfectly suited for elopements and couples who want to have an intimate outdoor garden wedding for up to 150 people.

The house itself sleeps 10 (with 5 bedrooms including a beautiful bridal suite), which makes it just the right place for all the girls to retire to after the rehearsal dinner (which can also happen here).

There’s a library, living room, formal dining room, full kitchen, casual breakfast room, and an expansive third-floor meeting/lounge space, plus spacious bedrooms – one master for the bride and her mama or MOH, and then four others for the rest of the bridal party. Perfect for a sleepover-dance party, movie marathon, and some harmless and nostalgic 90s-inspired night caps (thinking rum-spiked Hawaiian Punch or maybe some Capri Sun sangria?) These are all essential for calming the nerves before the next banner day, THE banner day.

Those getting ready shots didn’t even see this place coming.

It’s not too often that you can get ready, get glam, and be with the greatest people in your life before you marry the love of your life – all in the comfort of your own estate. But you’re the bride, the morning of your wedding should be this big!!

So many beautiful places to hang your gown, show off your rings and shoes, lay your bouquets, and have your girls fairy godmother you into becoming the bride.

And then, for the wedding.

The Boxwood Villa operates as the most awe-inspiring al fresco venue. It boasts a luscious, grassy lawn with a cascading oak tree for your ceremony and cocktail hour and a large meadow replete with billowing trees for the reception. The side yard, too, is a serendipitous setting for a romantic and prestigiously-preppy sail tent.

This mama chose the perfect place for her girl to get ready.

“My daughter and I fell in love with the Boxwood Villa venue from our first visit. The home itself is beautiful and the accommodations were perfect for my daughter’s special day. We loved everything about working with The Grelen and staying at the Boxwood Villa. They literally greeted us with open arms and were there through the entire process to answer ANY and ALL questions. Their response time was immediate.”
