Urban Romance Wedding Ideas

The team at Amber Karson Events wowed us by taking a space and created a soft, intimate romantic feeling in the heart of bustling Washington DC. They brought the outdoors in with plenty of ferns, terrariums and mixed various elements (wood, glass, metal, and greenery) into an otherwise traditional space and made it their own. Without a doubt, you know we love anything soft, pretty and full of romance.  We have to say the entire shoot is quite charming, but we are especially smitten with all the florals designed by Petals and Hedges. The hanging terrariums add such a great element. Don’t you think?

All captured by the incredibly talented Adam Barnes Fine Art Photography for the Venn Workshops. You can see more in the full gallery by clicking here and be sure to visit Green Wedding Shoes to see more of this inspirational shoot by clicking here.

From Adam Barnes:

These images were photographed while I was teaching at Venn Workshops this past April.. Styling and Coordinating by the incredibly talented ladies at Amber Karson Events.

We titled the workshop, Urban Romance. We wanted to create a soft, intimate romantic feeling in the heart of bustling Washington DC. Amber Karson events says, “Our interpretation of Urban Romance played off the idea of bringing the outdoors in with plenty of ferns, terrariums and mixing various elements (wood, glass, metal, and greenery) into an otherwise traditional space. We worked with an amazing vendor team to pull our look together.”

What is Venn?
Venn Workshops is a collaboration between Adam Barnes Fine Art Photography and Jodi Miller Photography who look to share their expertise with other photographers, in an intimate, boutique style workshop. Like the Venn diagram, we believe that a collaboration is the best way to teach, because it allows each hosting photographer to share on the strongest aspect of their business and their craft.

Handmade Vintage Carnival Wedding

There are so many noteworthy weddings to swoon over, but we have to say our next wedding is quite magical. James & Georgina set out to create a wedding that was bright, colorful and super fun. They wanted it to have a handmade feel that was overflowing with personal touches. They didn’t want their wedding just to say Georgina and James, they wanted it to shout it from rooftops. As you can clearly see, they did exactly that.

Captured by one of our favorite Australian wedding photographers Feather + Stone. You simply must see more of this handmade vintage carnival wedding in the full gallery by clicking here.

From Georgina:

When James and I started dreaming up our “Vintage Carnival” wedding, we had no idea just how rewarding all of our efforts would be on the day. Seeing our loved ones, both young and old, having a bash at croquet, my 92 and 99 year old grandparents eating fairy floss off a stick and watching everybody dancing the night away under strings of exposed bulbs and a night sky full of stars was truly the most magical experience of my life.

We set out to create a wedding that was bright and colourful and fun. We wanted it to have a very handmade feel and we made a lot of the little touches ourselves. We didn’t want our wedding just to say George and James, we wanted it to shout it from rooftops!! We had all these crazy ideas and Trudy and Nadia, the legends and creators of dreams, from Lovebird Weddings, brought them to life for us. It was so much more amazing than I ever could have imagined! And lucky for the us, the ridiculously talented Seth and Tenielle from Feather + Stone have captured our day so beautifully that for the rest of our lives we will be able to look at our photos and be transported back to the magical Big Top and the Spectacular that was our wedding!

How much fun is the ceremony site? Haystacks with mismatched blankets and a lace alter cabana. A rustic table was set up next to the cabana with a book and simple can of flowers for signing the wedding documents. There are a ton more photos in the full gallery to check out of the ceremony site by clicking here.

From Feather + Stone:

Working with James & George was an absolute joy. I’ve never seen two people celebrate with as much gusto as these two did. Documenting James’ expression as Georgina walked down the aisle has been one of the most memorable things we’ve ever witnessed. This was a celebration in every sense of the word, from the spontaneous dancing mid ceremony through to the dancing under the stars that continued into the wee hours of the morning. James & Georgina’s wedding really “them” and anyone who witnessed it, from their guests through to the vendors, saw it clearly. There’s something so amazing when two people put every bit of themselves, their personalities, their story into their planning, when it comes to the day it’s one of the most beautiful celebrations you’ll ever witness.

One of our favorite elements was the punch bar. Georgina and James set up a long table filled with mismatched vintage tea cups for the fruity punch. Such a clever and unique idea … don’t you think? The dining area was equally as fabulous. Still keeping with the mismatched theme, they lined the tables with mixed china and loosely arranged florals in a variety of vases. Each table had an old window frame propped up against it with that table’s guests.

The couple seemed to hit the nail on the head with each and every one of their selections, including their wedding stationery. Royal Steamline created their vintage carnival wedding invites. Royal Steamline also happens to be one of our Hand-Picked wedding vendors, you can see more of their work by clicking here.

Kentucky Derby Wedding Ideas

On the first Saturday of every May, a time honored tradition takes place ever, The Kentucky Derby. Mint Juleps are flowing, all the ladies are wearing their fashion-forward hats and everyone is in high spirits. It seems only natural to turn this happy-go-lucky affair into a wedding theme, and that is exactly what Holly Gerard of Mile High Bride did. Read on to hear Holly’s Kentucky Derby wedding ideas.

You can see more beautifully captured images by Laura Murray Photography in the full gallery.

From Holly:

Pink & Yellow were chosen as the colors because of their nod to spring. We played everything off of those two colors with the addition of white details as well. I had a great time making menus and other various paper goods for the shoot, all horse-inspired as well! I purchased some vintage postcards to also tie in with the classy-vintage southern wedding theme.

All the flowers were also a nod to spring by choosing what was available this time of year in the color scheme with bits of mint added in to make them tie in a bit with the mint julep. Mint Juleps are the signature drink of the derby to it was fun to tie them into the design with the flowers and with the juleps themselves. The pecan pies were completely inspired by all the southern traditions that go along with the derby. There is just something so romantic feeling about southern traditions, a great theme to go with for wedding inspiration for sure!

The menu looks delicious : Savory strawberry salad, strawberry pasta and berry delicious sweets for dessert. Below is a recipe for those strawberry mojitos. The perfect drink for a hot summer day. Courtesy of allrecipes.com

Ingredients
white sugar, for rimming
2 large limes, quartered
1/2 bunch mint leaves
7 strawberries, quartered
1 cup white sugar
1 cup white rum
2 cups club soda
8 cups ice cubes

Directions
1. Pour 1/4 to 1/2 inch of sugar onto a small, shallow plate. Run one of the lime quarters around the rim of each cocktail glass, then dip the glasses into the sugar to rim; set aside.

2. Squeeze all of the lime quarters into a sturdy glass pitcher. Toss the juiced limes into the pitcher along with the mint, strawberries, and 1 cup of sugar. Crush the fruits together with a muddler to release the juices from the strawberries and the oil from the mint leaves. Stir in the rum and club soda until the sugar has dissolved. Pour into the sugared glasses over ice cubes to serve.

Dessert Table Ideas From Amy Atlas

Amy Atlas is queen of the dessert tables. She has transformed the cake table into a stunning piece of edible art and shares all the how tos in her new book.  Filled with levels of tasty treats, fresh flowers and beautiful signs. All taking weeks to plan, prep and design. Matching the theme of the wedding and becoming a direct reflection of the bride and groom’s sweet tooth. These days we are positive your guests are just waiting to see what delicious goodies will be at the desert table.

In honor of the dessert table and sweets in general, Amy Atlas has just launched a new book Sweet Designs. Overflowing with inspiration, easy recipes, dressed-up store-bought treats, and craft ideas to make dessert a fitting grand finale to any gathering. The perfect inspirational item for brides to be planning the sweetest day of their lives.  We were so inspired by Amy’s new book we decided to whip up a few of her recipes and design a dessert table of our own. Luckily for us we have our house culinary expert Caitlin to help us out. Captured ever so perfectly by Lane Dittoe Photgraphy.

A dessert table looks especially pretty with fresh florals. The lovely Nancy of Oak and the Owl paired a variety of pink spring blooms in delicate white vases. Our wonderful friend Jeni of Found Vintage Rentals provided all the pieces for our delicious shoot. Including her personal collection of Ironstone , an amazing two hundred year old French farm table, gorgeous vases and the oh-so-darling antique light blue scale. How cute does that look with the cake pops? Steal worth idea … right?

We were so inspired by Amy’s meringue recipe that we created a little something extra. We are huge fans of meringue, it’s so light and crispy and such a special treat. We created a meringue encrusted cake, using crushed meringue from the kissed we added it to our cake. Light and fluffy cake, creamy icing and crunchy meringue – delicious, don’t you think? We sure do!

You can find more dessert table inspiration and all the recipes seen in this inspirational in Sweet Designs by Amy Atals.

The Parker Palm Springs Classic Wedding

The Parker is arguably one of our favorite wedding venues in Palm Springs. They have held a few weddings there and  know how to make your wedding a true phenomenon.

Connie and Ben’s classically beautiful wedding was filled with vintage details, drift wood centerpieces and gorgeous succulent arrangements. Captured by one of our Hand-Picked wedding vendors Chenin Boutwell. You must see more of this classic wedding in the full gallery by clicking here.

We love it when a couple tailors their guest book table to their wedding style. Connie and Ben’s vintage style table matched their decor and design to a tee as it was filled with antique books as props and tiny succulents.  The guest book table also doubled as a place for guests to grab a sparkler, for the sparkler send off. Using one space for two stations … great idea.

We love Chenin and it is clearly evident why she is one of our Hand-Picked Photographers.  These vendors are at the top of their game and provide excellent services! Chosen because of their commitment to excellence, stylish and fresh ideas, and their overall fresh approach to weddings. To learn more about how our Hand-Picked Vendors are chosen please click here. Carnival Wedding Ideas

In case you have not noticed, we love anything that is fun, whimsical and these carnival wedding ideas are as whimsical as it can get. Think outrageous candy bar filled with brightly colored sweets, delicious food, a hand-crafted pinwheel backdrop, and stunning floral selections. You will find all of these carnival ideas and more from A Style Collective along with tips and tricks to throw the ultimate carnival wedding. Be sure to see all the images in the full gallery photographed by Ryan Price. They are truly pin worthy.

Our goal was to strike a whimsical note while offering a nostalgic feeling and still keep the color palette lively and versatile. Red, powder blue, blush pink, and pops of black & white were the perfect match for this set. We played the colors up on the dessert table with our paper designs, a hand-crafted pinwheel backdrop, brightly colored sweets, and stunning floral selections. Our white washed vintage buffet server was brought to life. Traci at Cupcake Cachet created the most adorable, perfectly coordinating cake with ruffles, stripes, fondant, and a custom balloon topper.

Her bubble-gum cupcakes and cotton candy cake push-up pops were also a major focal point on our sweets table. We’re not sure which was sweeter, the look of her goodies with our paper goods and backdrop or the delectable taste of them all. Traci ROCKS. We also used bulk candy, salty popcorn, rock candy sticks, and donut parfait “sundaes” as extra carnival inspired nibbles. The paper goods we designed reflected this whimsical and bright vibe by serving as
unique additions to the displays. Fork picks, cupcake toppers and wrappers, cocktail glass tags, etc. are even more eye candy than the desserts alone.

We styled the simple but striking sweetheart’s table to coordinate perfectly with its pinwheel adornment, custom Mr. & Mrs. sings, pink and vintage lace table linens, LOVE frame backdrop, and a vintage replica Circus Animal Cracker tin for flowers. We’re not sure anything could have worked better for this set’s style than the beautiful red anemones, billy balls, blush peonies, and blue hydrangeas. The bride’s bouquet also had sweet blue and white lollipop accents and a pink and white striped cotton ribbon that left us swooning.

The idea for food and beverages was shown through our vintage wardrobe-bearing cocktail waitresses who toted red trays of indulgences from chicken & waffles to cotton candy martinis. Lori Alexander, with 7 Closets Vintage, was on set to offer her unique vintage wardrobe options and style these cocktail waitresses as well as our groom in his tasteful suspenders and bow-tie. Ventura’s Bridal of Houston provided the bride’s adorable and fun short dress that matched the nostalgic carnival theme so well.

We couldn’t let this shoot end without the addition of oversized balloons and pinwheels. Shooting amongst the Kemah Boardwalk and Carnival was the quintessential playground for these fun props and for Ryan to capture wonderfully with his artistic style of photography. The ferris wheel, carousel, games, sea wall, and energy of the Saturday crowd were the best backdrop we could have asked for. We were thrilled with the results. I think anyone would want to jump right into this scene upon viewing the photo playback. I can almost smell those bubble gum cupcakes! A huge thank you to all of the contributing vendors! You guys rocked this one and truly allowed us to have so much creative freedom and fun. Ryan Price did a remarkable job at telling the story through such beautiful images.

How to create your own Carnival Boardwalk Wedding

1. Color Palette
Select a color palette that is bold and brings in the opportunity for a carnival inspired vibrancy. Colors like a bright red, pink, yellow, or aqua blue are amazing to work with in décor elements from balloons to candy to flowers. If you feel hesitant to go too over-the-top, choose a classic black & white base and add one additional strong color for the punch.

2. Whimsical Décor
You may not want to get too “theme” happy, but even a few tasteful additions to your wedding décor that reflect carnival elements can be just the thing to make it stand out. Perhaps you love the idea of lollipops in your bouquet, a festive candy stand, outdoor game or prize areas, balloons, colorful tents outdoors, or dressed up cocktail waitresses.

3. Inspired Catering
Forget the standard buffet or meat & potatoes dish. Let your catering venue get creative with carnival inspired food selections or passed small bites like chicken and waffles, corn dog poppers, herb tossed French fries, funnel cake, or cotton candy. Perhaps for an interactive cocktail station you could have create your own spiked snow cones or cotton candy martinis.

4. Games & Prizes
This is the fun, self-explanatory part. Get your guests involved in more than just ‘oo-ing’ and ‘ah-ing’ about your wedding dress. Entertain them outdoors with games, juggling acts, balloon artists, etc. Do you have children attending? Have a face painting booth. Your adult guests will definitely feel young at heart the more interactive your lounge or outdoor cocktail hour is.

5. Attire
Inform your guests of the ‘feel’ of your wedding in your wedding invite or website by encouraging more casual, comfortable, or whimsical dress. Sundresses, bow-ties, and suspenders welcome. If you want to represent a certain ‘era’ like the 1950s or 1940s then, by all means, encourage them to partake. The more relaxed your guests are, the more fun they will have – especially on the dance floor. Allow your bridal party to wear knee length dresses and have a fun cocktail dress for yourself to change into.

6. Paper Goods
It’s a well known fact that your save-the-dates, wedding invite, and wedding branded paper goods set the initial tone of your event. Get creative with a graphic designer to portray the mood you envision for your big day. Adding confetti, touches of mini fabric pendant banners, hand-stamped hot air balloon, or carnival font-types can add in a whimsical note. Now your guests first impression is a unique one!

Striped Bridesmaid Dresses

When it comes to bridesmaid dresses, you know we are all about the cuteness factor. Take the striped bridesmaid dresses in our next feature for example. With a slim waist-defining belt and  statement making stripes, these girls have it going on. Not to mention their personalized gold spoon necklaces. Of course, there is so much more loveliness to Jake and Heather’s fun filled wedding that you must read on to find out more. You can see all the photos captured by D’Avello Photography by clicking here.

Heather and Jake and been engaged for years, but the task of pinning down a cohesive feeling for the day was a daunting task. They finally said enough was enough, set the date and planned a wedding in just two and a half months. They decided to only use things that said something about them. The bridesmaids wore striped body suits that were reminiscent of Heather’s self-proclaimed Hamburglar look. She made them spoon necklaces with their nicknames stamped into them, and hair jewelry with cameras (that actually flashed) as a nod to her job as a videographer and editor. The guys had boutonnieres with guitars and guitar picks for Jake’s musical prowess. The floral arrangements were made from dried flowers. Heather spent weeks combing through thrift stores and ebay listings to find vintage jars, plates, vases, pitchers, cameras, typewriters and 1 sewing machine. Jake is from Yosemite and they captured a rustic feeling with log rounds and the florals. They opted for a less traditional ceremony their guests stood around them as his father married them. They skipped the DJ and instead asked their many talented friends (and guests) to perform for them. Everywhere you looked you saw pictures of their life or items that exemplified their love. It was warm and connected and perfectly Heather and Jake.

In the bride’s words:
”I just planned, partied, and survived a wedding, and we did it all in just 2 months and exactly 2 weeks!!! And honestly, it was the GREATEST WEDDING I’VE EVER BEEN TOO.  My Husband and I had THE BEST FREAKING TIME AT OUR WEDDING!!!! It’s still being hailed as the party of the year!!!   Now granted, the year is young, and I’m sure we’ll have some competition.  But for us, our Wedding Day was personal; we served food we liked, we decorated with odd knick knacks that embodied our charm, and we brought love out of even some of hippest and coolest of our friends.
We skipped on many of the traditional things people do with weddings; like table numbers and seating charts. We did what worked for us. We cut out customary activities that didn’t interest us, like a cake cutting, and a garter toss. For my Dude and I, enjoying ourselves was the most important aspect of this whole process.  We wanted to chat, to dance, and to take silly photos with friends.

The groomsmen had tiny guitars and picks in their boutonnieres and the bridesmaids had tiny cameras that actually flashed. Heather made them necklaces from tiny spoons (an obsession of hers) with their nicknames stamped on them. Super cute!

People come to a wedding to celebrate YOU, and I think that gets lost in the whole wedding process.  Brides and Grooms too often fall prey to becoming Hosts at their own wedding. A Wedding is YOUR party to decorate how you want, serve the food you like to eat, and entertain in ways YOU LIKE TO BE ENTERTAiNED.

I should begin my story by saying, I’ve been with my dude for almost 10 years now; and engaged for 4 of those years.  It was me who was stalling, not because I wasn’t sure, or that I doubted my choice. Rather, I was never a girl who had envisioned her wedding day.  I wasn’t one of those Gals who’d kept a notebook of magazine clippings hidden under her bed; inspiration for her future Wedding Day.   I was starting from scratch.  And, anytime I started planning, or investigating I should say, I was overwhelmed by costs, by friends and family insistence on certain traditions, on color scheme, and themes, etc.  I had too many ideas, too many plans; too many projects.  I got sidetracked, doubted my instincts, got frustrated then gave up.
There is this slew of information out there of possibilities for your wedding.  Magazines, Pinterest, Etsy; they offer so many choices, so many charming suggestions for atmosphere, for decorations, for desserts even. I’m a Film Director, Photographer, and Writer.  The way my brain computes is in visuals, and in stories, and this story was extremely personal. But when it’s your wedding, it’s about you and your mate, and the people you are vowing to be. People are seeing the most intimate side of you. I learned A LOT of valuable lessons over the last 4 years.  Weddings are one of the most stressful, exhausting, expensive, and yet one of the greatest times of your life.  You should enjoy yourself and your wedding.  It should be the best party you’ve even been too!”

The reception was full of vintage cameras, typewriters and even a sewing machine. The bouquets, centerpieces and decor were crafted from mesh screens and dried flowers. The beer, cupcakes and food were gluten free. And the entertainment? The entertainment was provided by their closest friends who took turns playing songs on stage.

Fresh florals, an outdoor wedding, open toed shoes, a strapless gown and tons of beautiful sunshine. All the makings of a a perfect spring wedding. Fanny and Dennis married at the Calamigos Equestrian in Burbank. With a variety of beautiful outdoor gardens and intimate indoor ceremony sites to choose from, this Southern California wedding venue is a must see. All beautifully photographed by Ellen Ho. See more of this vintage chic spring time wedding in the full gallery by clicking here.

Using vintage keys is a fantastic way to add a little vintage chic to wedding decor. You can buy vintage keys similar to the ones used at Fanny and Dennis’s wedding by clicking here. Loving how they hung them from an old filing card box to fancy things up. Such an easy idea that we love.

Another steal worthy idea is the bird cages lined with moss hanging from the alter site. Another easy decor item that you could easily use later on. We found these great vintage style bird cages here.

Ideas For a Cinderella Themed Wedding

Looking to have a fairy tale-inspired wedding with an over the top table decor, ballgown wedding dress and opulence galore? You are going to love all of these Ideas for a Cinderella themed Wedding from Bethann Greenberg Photography and Couture Events. Complete with lavish gowns, gold table decor, grandiose floral arrangements and of course a prince charming. To see more Cinderella wedding inspiration click here and be sure to share with us what you think.

To start the planning process for your majestic wedding, you need to think about where you are going to hold your fairy tale wedding. Most venues can be transformed into a magical wonderland – a private estate, garden or winery venue. Chandeliers would be ideal, but no necessary. These San Diego wedding vendors choose a Private Estate in Rancho Santa Fe to bring all this Cinderalla goodnes.

From: Bethann Greenberg Photography

When the fabulous Bethany from Lotus Hair Design Studio approached me about doing a shoot, something striking and dramatic she could put up on the wall of her new salon, my first thought was, Marie Antoinette! But I knew it wouldn’t be enough to just photograph a model with big hair and a dress. So I went to wedding planner, Krystel with Couture Events, known for her vision and creativity, and talked to her about putting together something that would knock people’s socks off.

Krystel immediately thought of Cinderella. It occurred to us, why not fuse our two concepts together?, and “Marie meets Cinderella” was born. We found a beautiful private estate in Ranch Santa Fe that looked as if it had been created for this very shoot. In addition, the combination of all our talented vendors, including the wonderful Teal Green Designs who created the magnificent “Cinderella Pumpkin Chair,” really made the set something to behold. After Bethany and Brides by Brittany worked their magic, our Prince Charming, Cinderella, and her two stepsisters were ready to go! I, Bethann Greenberg Photography, took care of the rest!

Gold And Black Wedding Ideas With A Splash Of Pink

If you thought we were going to ease up on our gold obsession anytime soon, guess again. Our love for all thinks sparkly will keep on keeping on. This time a little pretty from Vitalic Photo who captured and designed some pretty spectacular gold and pink wedding ideas with a splash of black.  We are smitten with everything  on this shoot, but we have to say the feather escort card set up is a steal worthy idea that you might want to pin.

The entire shoot was captured at an old diesel factory plant in Vero Beach. You can see so many more gold and black wedding ideas with a splash of pink by clicking here.

Mesa, Arizona Shabby Chic Wedding

Devon and David’s wedding was filled to the brim with perfectly polished details. A color palette of peach, pink, vanilla and a touch of purple. The flowers looked good enough to eat. Lace and burlap throughout, and one incredibly draw dropping wedding alter.

Perfectly captured by Imaginale Design and designed by Rust and Lace. You have to see all the images in the full gallery by clicking here and read on the bride shares some intimate details about her shabby chic wedding.

I needed to transform my vision of a fairytale forest wedding into a backyard fantasy wedding and that’s when I found My Vintage Venue in Mesa, Arizona. We wanted our guests to feel as though they were transported rather than being in an Arizona back yard; taken somewhere special. We wanted them to feel and experience our love for one another all around them.

Little did my, then, future mother-in-law know how many wedding treasures she had boxed away until we had spent the day going through storage bins, closets and sheds. It was so much fun uncovering old items, each holding a family memory and story for her to share with me. What a special blessing and privilege to share the time with her as we felt the thrill of discovery with every new find. The family cake topper from a World War II vet along with romantic love letters from David’s Grandparents were amazing. The old antique bathtub that had gained quite a bit of dust while sitting in their backyard for a number of years, was a beautiful drink holder. The old 35mm cameras, and mementos from other family weddings that had aged with the years were magnificent. I also had the privilege of wearing an apron my then soon to be mother-in law wore at her wedding for a Polish tradition and since we shared the same heritage, I was able to incorporate that into one of the many things she shared with us for our wedding, and at the same time we had a wonderful mother/daughter experience.

In order to be cost efficient, I realized the first thing to go would be the cake. I loved a “sweet station” concept and that made it easy to let go of the traditional cake. A few family members and friends offered to bake cakes and AJ’s Fine Foods was so very accommodating in creating our six cakes, down to every detail, from photographs that I provided. David’s aunt made our smaller version of the “traditional” cake, using the cake topper from David’s grandparent’s wedding cake. She had never attempted a design such as ours before, yet it turned out beautifully.

Los Angeles Wedding Venue | Malibu and Vine

Malibu and Vine is situated within the Malibu Mountains and a great option for those of you on the hunt for a romantic, yet elegant Los Angeles wedding venue. As you can see, the outdoor space is quite lovely and has a bit of a rustic flair. You can find old wine barrels and blooming lavender throughout the property, perfect for pretty portraits.

Yellow Bird Events shared with us how lovely the space can really be. Setting up an inspiring tablescape with gorgeous florals from Wisteria Lane Flowershop and beautiful props from one of our favorite vintage rental companies Archive Vintage Rentals. See the entire shoot in the full gallery and stay tuned for a pinwheel diy from Yellow Bird Events.

From: Yoleine Dumarsais of Yellow Bird Events

Wisteria Lane provided the sweet florals for the shoot. We wanted a classic approach with a bit of a quirky touch, which is why we brought in the daffodils into the fresh blooms of roses, ranunculus, and hydrangeas. The rentals were provided by Classic Party Rentals and Archive Party Rentals provided the bench and the vintage, yet classic “Welcome” sign.

When it came to the tablescape, we wanted to keep the look clean and sweet while bringing a different approach to the menu. Kathy G. Chung provided the gorgeous stationary for the invitations and menus. Guests would be able to check off their main meal choice on the menu card provided complete with your own personal writing utensil.

The initial inspiration stemmed from the pinwheels. The vision was to tie in the sweetness of the pinwheels to the classic touch of the details throughout the shoot. If pinwheels were going to be a part of the shoot, it had to be something big…like a wall! The pinwheels were constructed by being placed on large dowels and gaps were filled with individual pinwheels in various sizes. I also wanted to bring in some color to the wall by painting just a few of the wheels with water color paint.

To top off the pinwheels, we couldn’t leave out balloons by Geronimo Balloon Troopers! Just enough flair for a classic and fun affair!

Shabby Chic Beach Wedding Ideas From This & That Vintage Rentals

It’s officially that time of year! The weather is getting warmer, the days are getting longer and it’s the perfect time for a beach wedding. To get everyone a little excited and inspired for the up coming shift in seasons, we have some super cute shabby chic beach ideas from This & That Vintage Rentals.

After a super long engagement, Chris and Shanda had an intimate wedding on the cliffs of California’s Laguna Beach. Of course everything had a shabby chic romantic vibe and the event was filled with vintage rentals. All of this beachy goodness was photographed by Katie Neal Photo. To see more head on over to the full gallery.

From The Bride:

Sweet Emilia Jane was fantastic! She called me out as a burlap and lace girl right away! Vintage/Romantic with Bohemian touches was the perfect vibe for us! I love how all of the details turned out! I loved how personal and thoughtful our decor and ambiance was! One of my favorite things included in the decor was my parents, and Chris’s parent’s wedding photos, along with photos of my grandparents and great grandparents who are no longer with us. It was a nice reminder of family, tradition and marriage.

Many pieces displayed at our wedding for the entrance tables, drink and dessert station and lounge are from my family’s company, This & That Vintage Rentals. My dad did an incredible job picking out unique pieces that made our wedding so special! I loved the special little touches and collaborations of friends and family. It meant so much to us that Chris’s sister made our cake and one of my best friend’s made the ring pillow. And I am a huge Dave Matthews fan, so it was so fitting to have a bottle of Dave’s own wine on every table, which was perfect timing, as it was released just a month before.

It was truly a perfect evening of laughing, dancing and enjoying the ambiance with our close friends and family! The best part is that the Newland Barn is right up the street from where we live, so every time we drive by it, my son Nathan says, “Momma, remember when Dadda, Momma and Nae got married?” I love it every time he says it!

Gold and Pink Wedding Ideas

In honor of the first official day of spring, which was Tuesday, we have a special treat for you. Courtesy of Katie Stoops Photography and Events in the city, along with quite a few other talented DC wedding professionals. Holly Heider Chapple created an absolutely breathtaking array of florals from an intricate headpiece, to a stunning bouquet, and of course the gorgeous centerpieces. The arrangements could not have been more perfect for this inspiration.

Inspired by the romantic idea of a girl from the country who finds love in Paris while going to college. It was only fitting that her wedding combined the two places she loves … the rolling hills of Virginia tied with the chic elegance of Paris. Complete with a blush toned Monique Lhuillier dress and some to die for gold accents. You can see more gold and pink wedding ideas in the full gallery by clicking here.

We adore the simply elegant wedding stationery designed by Paperzest. It has such an elegant Parisian feel with a beautiful gold envelope liner and old world flourish accents. All the makings for a regal invite.  Absolutely gorgeous … right?

For You WC readers scouting out shabby chic wedding ideas, we just may have  a little inspiration for you today. Mckenzie and Jake’s shabby chic wedding is overflowing with creative details that are enough to make any vintage-inspired bride squeal with delight.

Most of the wedding decor and details were planned around vintage musical note paper. Perfectly fitting, because as you will see, this couple is way into music. Not only did Mckenzie sang from the balcony during the processional, but they gave the cutest tambourines out for wedding favors. There are so many more details from this Dallas shabby chic wedding to see in the full gallery. All beautifully photographed by Texas wedding photographer Jennefer Wilson Photography.

There are so many sweet touches throughout Mckenzie and Jake’s wedding, one of our favorites has to be the sweet hankie from Mckenzie to her Dad. Hand-stitched with,” Today a bride, tomorrow a wife, always your little girl. I love you Daddy.” Although they are not hand-stitched, you can buy something similar for your dad or mom in our shop. Click here to see our vintage hankies.

The personal touches were intentional and reminiscent of the couples personalities while portraying another time period. Antiqued glass and books anchored each table setting and were topped with hand picked arrangements of garden roses and posies. How much do you love the vintage framed chalkboard menu above? That is kinda amazing … right?

Pastel Wedding Ideas

Pretty pastels are all the rage. Minty greens, soft pinks and sky blues are popping up everywhere these days. Sunny Ravanbach of White Lilac Inc had a vision of for Details Details Coordinator CONFAB inspirational shoot, that was right on with this latest fashion trend.

Using this season’s hottest colors and the ombre rage, White Lilac designed a whimsical table set up that is truly going to inspire you. You can see more of these pastel wedding ideas in the full gallery by clicking here.

From Details Details:

After Sunny gave me her thoughts about color, I connected with Elaine from Papermade Designs who created several layouts of the invitation. The watercolor ombre colors translated well, with the softness of pastel ranging from pale aqua to mint to butter to peach.  A lace applique pattern was added to add a layer of depth to the design and was replicated on the cake and lace applique dress was also chosen. Hand dyed paper doilies with hand written names of the guests attending the seminar.  Those were carefully placed on custom made napkins, with double sided fabric, one being a butter cotton eyelet.

Sunny purchased Original Pucci fabric to create the custom runner, showing with ombre colors gradating down the table, along with mint green cake stands on one end of the table, and butter yellow on the other end with pale peach pink in the center.  A collection of paper wrapped boxes with over a thousand macaroons and cakes intermixed. Two different patterned spearmint colored custom chair covers were created to soften the hard wood table. An abundant array of pastel gigantic balloons tied with silky ribbons swayed over the table while a clear white tent kept most from flying away!
We combined Claus Porto Pastille Soaps to create the ombre effect needed when one would open their wedding favor box.

From: White Lilac Inc
A play on pastel colors deviating from the traditional tone on tone with use of patterns with Pucci print runner , whimsical colored papers with multiple patterns , tied together with solid pastels we are familiar with via oversized balloons in shades of light yellow pastel peach and sky blue . The table is anchored with a heavy solid wood table and solid mint green chair covers also in varying textures . The addition of numerous color blocked cake holders adds the final festive whimsical touch

Elegant Pastel Wedding

Citing inspiration from the season’s latest color trend, our next wedding is surely to inspire all you spring brides. This elegant pastel wedding was held in South Africa, just outside Nelspruit in the low veld, near the Kruger National Park Gate.

We are head over heels for the soft and flowy bridesmaid dresses, the flower sash on the bride and all the pastel wedding florals. What do you love most?  All beautifully captured by South African wedding photographer Rensche Marie Photography. There really are so many more beautiful photographs in the full wedding gallery. Click here to see them all.

From The Bride:

My inspiration – Initially when my fiancé and I discussed our wedding “theme” we decided that we did not want to be boxed in by a specific theme, color style or rhythm. We wanted the wedding to shine timeless charm with a slight edge to it. Our wedding stationery was inspired by the Magnolia venue (floral wallpaper) and the colours we decided to work with were dove grey and turquoise with a touch of pink.

Since we got married in early October it made sense to focus on a spring floral table set-up complimented by a lot of candle light. The venue allowed for an open plan lay-out  with some of our guests seated on the patio overlooking the beautiful view of the Lowveld.  My mother, sister and aunt stumbled on the bridesmaids dresses shopping one morning and after sending me a picture we knew that nothing else would have looked better than these fabulous airy floral dresses from Forever New.  We had the absolute best florist and after meeting with her and advising on the look of the bridesmaids dresses she immediately understood what we were trying to create on our day,  she sourced the absolute best and most beautiful flowers available during season.

To fit into the timeless charm  I wanted my wedding dress to be classic, comfortable but still show people who I am, we had a traditional church wedding and I knew that my back would be towards our guests the  moment I reached the altar and wanted to make use of the opportunity to display the floral detail on the back of my dress. We used the same floral brooches from the dress in my hair, which complimented the “floral” theme beautifully…

Our wedding day was out of this world with the best weather we could ever have wished for, the food and wine was delicious the band kept guests on their feet until the early hours of the morning and my brand new  hubby and I partied until the very last guest left. It was a dream come true. Of course it helped to have such reliable suppliers and close family and friends helping us with all arrangements, allowing for such a stress free wedding day.

Intimate Beach Wedding Ideas

For all of you looking to have a romantic seaside wedding that’s chic and rustic we have the perfect inspirational shoot for you. Dreamed up by Poppy Love Weddings and captured by one of our Hand-Picked wedding vendors White Loft Studio on the Plum Island Sound.

Lucky for us, Poppy Love Weddings shares key ingredients to replicating something as dreamy as this for your own intimate beach wedding. To see more images perfect for pinning click here.

From: Poppy Love Weddings on Intimate Beach Wedding Ideas

The ceremony area was my favorite part of the set up. It was purposefully kept bare and simple – marked by a modern lucite console table with large rustic wicker spheres (also from West Elm). Here is where I incorporated the canvas flags and added the vintage style glass ring box, adorned with a sweet banner that read “love & cherish”.

I wanted to create an inviting combination of beach rustic plus seaside elegance. I brought in subtle boating elements, like the canvas covered wine bottles, petite canvas flags, and woven components like the wicker spheres. I used indigo as my anchor color and as soon as I laid eyes upon the David Stark Brush Stroke dinnerware at West Elm, I knew it was the perfect fit. To soften the look, I incorporated soft romantic blooms in a *quiet riot* of pink and peach hues set into perforated metal containers for the floral centerpieces. I layered fabrics, included driftwood-type bench seating, and added comfy nautical print pillows.

A key ingredient of my design aesthetic is the mixture of high and low pieces. Because I focused most of my budget dollars on the impact of the place settings, I had to get creative with the other tabletop details. I found the batik print table runner in the half-off section of the Jo-Ann fabric store and was able to scoop it up for peanuts. Of course a trip to the craft store was in order, where I grabbed a few small wicker balls from the floral department and was inspired by the all the color and texture in the knitting department. I carried the pale aqua blue yarn detail throughout the design – wrapping simple glass votive holders with it along with tying the wedding bands together and it even made for the prettiest of bouquet wraps in lieu of ribbon!

The cake was dreamt up by Heidi and beautifully executed by Hilary of Eat Cake!! – a single-tiered cake of layered ombre ruffles. The complex yet airy ruffled design lends to the ethereal look of the day.

Poppy Love Weddings for mastering a harmonized look:

- Seek out what you love, choose subtle elements that convey those feelings and repeat them throughout
your décor.

- Don’t be afraid to mix prints and textures. Dressing a table is like putting an outfit together; excessive
matching is always tres boring!

-When meeting with your floral designer, focus your efforts in conveying your color and shape
preferences. Becoming too specific with exact blooms and shades can hinder the designer and the
completed design.

- Forget perfection! Instead aim for authenticity – there’s nothing worse then an over-produced event that
over shadows the true meaning of the day.

Seaside San Diego Wedding

With all this winter talk, we thought we would throw a little sunny seaside San Diego wedding your way. Kari and Matt’s La Jolla Scripss wedding was filled to the brim with some incredibly vibrant wedding details that we know you are going to love. Including some of the cutest wedding place mats we have ever seen.

This stylish seaside wedding did not happen on its own, it took a whole lot of talented vendors to make it super fabulous. Luxe Events coordinated and styled, Joielala Photographie snapped all these pretty pictures and 10.11 Makeup made everyone look pretty. Be sure to see this entire Seaside San Diego Wedding in the full wedding gallery.

From Luxe Events

Kari has an extremely fresh sense of style.   She is drawn to vibrant colors and modern patterns.  So I set out to design a wedding layered in colorful bold patterns.  We let go of traditional ideas of what “matches” and became playful with the design choices.     I’d call the wedding design “Layered Chic”. Once we embraced this concept the plan fell into place.  We picked three fabulous patterns that would complement each other.  We brought the patterns to center stage through unique wedding elements. When we could not find a charger that was just the right color or pattern I came up with the idea to create a stylish placemat.   Enlisting Brightly Designed to take our pattern decor to the next level, she designed super-cool placemats including quotes from favorite songs.  Each table had one of the three patterned placemats.  In addition we made paper vase wraps for the centerpieces.   While we loved the blue and green colors I felt something whimsical was missing, and we added the slightest touch of hot pink.   The pattern and color story carried through from guest book poster, signature drink flags, hanging tissue balls, dangling ceremony flowers, signage above the head table, vase wraps, placemats, lighting, linens and that wow-factor cake.   The end result was a wedding so very Kari and Matt- bold and beautiful.

Circus Wedding Ideas

Our next feature was actually a 30th birthday celebration for event designer Lindsey Hartsough for Magnolia Event Design. The ideas were so spectacular and could easily be carried over for a wedding. Lindsey goes on to share how her day was put together and of course give you some fabulous Circus Wedding Ideas. That are glitzy, glamorous and of whole lot of fun.

The ever so fabulous Linda Chaja captured this fun day. You can see so many more photos in the full gallery by clicking here. Let us know what you think about this circus extravaganza.

From Lindsey:

Circus to me evokes fun, childhood, fantasy, beauty and all things wonderful. Being an event designer I find that food is the easiest way to convey a theme to your guests and luckily for me the thought of “Circus/Carnival Food” makes me giddy!  I am a girl who loves to go to carnivals, cicus’ and fairs to experience all the tasty treats that aren’t easy to come by.  I taste a lot of “fancy” food for my clients, but there is nothing like a corn dog, churro, popcorn, cotton candy or a caramel apple.  Because my guests are used to fancy food I thought it would be fun for them to go back to childhood and enjoy lots of tasty treats.  I worked with the chef to “fabulize” the  foods a bit, but really didn’t want to take away from the traditional mindset that these foods convey.

So, what is a birthday without a cake?  To me funfetti cake is childhood all baked up!  There is something unexpected and fun about cutting into a formal cake and finding every cover of the rainbow inside. Jessica created her Salted Caramel Apples and Beet Sugar dyed Truffles. Okay, you may think you have tried a Caramel Apple before, but you haven’t! These little puppies make my mouth water just writing about them. As the birthday girl I would have hoped my friends would have left me one, but NO! Those babies were devoured before I had a chance to grab one for myself… how rude!

A “Lindsey” event isn’t an event without an Open Air Photo Booth… we created a custom backdrop for the booth and was sparkly and super fun. Nick designed the perfect custom layout to match the event perfectly! Who knew that in Nick’s bag of tricks was a professional grade cotton candy maker machine thing? Nick has that little sugar goddess available for rent and let me tell you first hand how much fun it is to have cotton candy at your party… real FUN!

As you see there are a ton of custom cocktails at the party. Lindsey greeted guest with a custom cocktail.

I really love floral tasting drinks and feel in love with Parfait Amour, which is a violet liqueur on one of my trips to Vancouver.   I worked with Josh at Blush to create the perfect signature cocktail for my event.  I wanted something with a violet hue and that had a floral taste.

Lindsey’s Luscious Lavender Sparkler
1 part Pinky vodka (This  vodka is hand blended with violets, rose petals and ten other botanicals),

1 part rose champagne
and a dash of Parfait Amour.
We garnished with fresh mini edible flowers

The idea of carnival food at a wedding at first makes you think ummmm no…but, we love the idea of jazzing it up a bit and making carnival food fancy. Sounds like an episode of Top Chef. What do you think? Would you opt for carnival food at a wedding?

Mossin the super duper fabulous chef at Blush created a custom menu for me and the guests raved about the flavors and treats. We had carnival treats- churros, corndogs, French fries, mac and cheese, burgers,

Modern Rooftop Wedding At Pasadena Museum of California Art

We have super fun, modern playful wedding for you. Even better they used a few of our free printables to make their special day even more fantastic. The theme was,”Up In The Clouds.” Of course you need to have your wedding as high up as possible if that is your theme. So, The Pasadena Museum of California Art seems like such a natural choice.

As you can see, everything is simple and modern keeping with the up in the clouds theme. Bridesmaid in bright sky blue dresses, floral arrangements popping with color and a very clever way to portray the sun and clouds and the reception. This Modern Rooftop Wedding was captured by Adrienne Gunde. You can see all the photos in the full wedding gallery by clicking here.

From The Bride:

While planning the wedding, I adored all the wedding creativity I saw on wedding blogs, in particular, Wedding Chicks. We pored over the DIY & Downloads section and were tickled when we came upon the perfect Save the Dates for our wedding: the Airplane Save the Dates. We loved the retro vibe of the customized the Airplane Save the Dates to our wedding colors. To save money, we e-mailed the Save the Dates to our guests.

We wanted our wedding to pop with happy, bold colors. We love color, and our color palette began with a subdued blue and green (more specifically, Mint and Deep Ocean, according to Wedding Chicks color palette for our electronic Save the Dates) and ballooned to include sunshine yellow, hot pink, and bright orange. We also could not resist using varying shades of blue and green throughout the wedding.

The escort cards (printed on cloud address labels) and cheery yellow billy balls sprouted from beds of cotton “clouds” which filled a wooden box that adorned our escort card table.

We found a woodblock print of a cloud, which inspired our invitations. The fun customized invitations featured woodblock print clouds designed by our stationer Papercake Designs and our interpretation of the PMCA rooftop. The RSVP cards gave guests two options: “OH YES. can’t wait.” or “OH DEAR! can’t make it.” The invitation sets were mailed in sunshine yellow envelopes, and we used a typewriter font to print out each guest’s name/address to give our invitations more of a fun, retro feel.
Our amazing wedding coordinator Uyen Nguyen of Sassy Girl Weddings & Events worked with us and with our other vendors to design and incorporate cloud details into the wedding. We had loads of fun with our theme.

Eric crafted the hanging clouds floating over the guests at the rooftop reception. There were individual clouds as well as clusters. To create the hanging clouds, Eric magnified varying cloud designs from our invites, pasted the images on foam board, cut the edges to resemble clouds, and attached each ensemble to fish wire. We interspersed the hanging clouds with yellow lanterns that were an interpretation of the sun.

The PhotoBooth Sign! We printed out the freebie from the Wedding Chicks website, pasted the sign on foam board, and propped it up on a striped green tray.

Preppy Pink And Navy Wedding

Our next couple had been together eight years before their wedding. They didn’t want their wedding to feel like their parents party, but they also did not want the wedding to feel like a beginning… like they were starting their lives together. Instead, they wanted their guests to feel as though the entire weekend was a celebration of a bond that they had grown and nurtured over the past eight years and would continue to grow and nurture. Read on to hear some pretty fabulous tips from the bride.

Enjoy more Preppy Pink And Navy Wedding from one of our absoulte favorite Midwest Weddding Photographer Emily Emily Steffen Photography.

Read this is is pretty awesome:

On August 20, 2010, one year before our wedding, I was looking at one of the blogs I follow and I saw a wedding where the bride and groom wrote their vows together. At their ceremony the bride said one line of their vows and the groom said the next and they went back and forth until the vows were over. And when the vows were over they asked each other if they vowed to be the others husband and wife. I had never met these people but I was crying in my office at work after hearing their vows. It was so moving. I went home, showed Scott and he instantly agreed. We wrote our vows that same night . . . a year before our wedding. Our entire wedding weekend was every thing we could have hoped for–the Twin Cities had absolutely perfect weather, everyone was smiling and laughing, and we felt so incredibly loved.

From The Bride on her inspiration and diy projects.

With wedding blogs for inspiration, I set out to make our one of a kind wedding. I have always been the type of person that refuses to pay someone to do something I can do myself, so a few months before the wedding I made the cornhole boards, thank you place cards, moss letters, lavender hand soaps, and welcome bags. When my Maid of Honor arrived from LA the week of the wedding, we made the bouquets, centerpieces, and table card windows. However, none of the details would have been pulled off without our week of coordinator, Lora from At Your Service Weddings. I loved being a do-it-yourself Bride, but I loved even more that on the day of my wedding I could just enjoy every moment and not worry about a thing.

When the time came to plan our wedding, we knew we wanted it to be timeless and classic, but not traditional, with a dash of good old Southern Hospitality all the way up in Minnesota. Eighty percent of our guest list was flying in for the wedding and we did not want them to worry about a thing. We rented a charter bus to take them to and from the wedding, and when they arrived at the boat club they were immediately handed either a Mint Julep or a John Daly and an Hors d’oeuvre as they waited for the ceremony.

We love the idea of keeping the Mason jar as a wedding favor. Not only do they get to use it at the wedding, but every time guests use it they will remember your special day.

Glamorous Barn Wedding

Since they majority of their budget was spent on their photographer, Danielle Capito and the venue Dana Powers House. Our next couple decided to embark on the great journey of the good ol’ DIY plan. Little did they realize how fun and meaningful it would make the process. You can read all about the handmade projects from the bride by clicking here.

To see all of the diy projects from this Glamorous barn wedding click here.

A do-it-yourself wedding project we particullary like from the bride:

Wine Bottle GuestBook – Used 5 wine bottles from important dates in our relationship (our engagement, first bottle of wine together, birthdays, etc.). Cleaned them out and made personalized labels to match the wedding decor. Each label represented a future anniversary year (1 year, 5year, 10year, 25 years, 35 years) and had a wine quote on it. Each guest wrote a note or wish and dropped it in the year of their choice. We will open each bottle on that labeled year to read notes from our guests at the wedding to celebrate our anniversaries.

Destination Wedding in Italy

How dreamy would it be to have a destination wedding in Italy? Especially in a romantic castle hidden among the breathtaking hills of Fiesole, overlooking Florence. Sounds like a dream come true to us, luckily it was the real deal for Ireny & Andrew.

You may think personalizing a destination wedding would be a difficult feat. It probably is, but these guys pulled it off. And then some. Another thing may be convincing your guests to come all that way. Though I don’t think these guests needed much convincing … All of this from London Wedding Photographer Ed Peers. To see more of this destination wedding click here.

Ireny spent many months crafting and stuffing personalized fabric hearts that were used to decorate the venue and then were given away as favors to the guests. The color scheme focused on different shades of pink with peonies being the main blossom. Watermelon Martini was offered at the aperitif and then jars of the same cocktail were placed on tables for guests to sip before and during dinner. Hearts of different shapes and materials hanged from trees, the castle gates, lamp-posts, creating a very romantic and fairytale ambiance.

Handmade Vintage Wedding Ideas

Our next bride did not want her wedding to be too matchy-matchy or constrained. She just basically gathered up anything that caught her eye, even if it did not traditionally go together. Friends and family collaborated to make everything and anything for the entire wedding. From the entire invitation suite and programs, to the burlap and lace runners, and the lace hoops, to the ribbon wall seating chart. Yep all of it was handmade. This all came together beautifully, making for some amazing Handmade Vintage Wedding Ideas.

Speaking of vintage details, you have to check out the vintage cheese graters made into candle holders. Super duper clever. All of this was captured by Katie Neal Photo. See more of details from this wedding in the full wedding gallery and read… the bride shares more about how the day came together.

From The Bride:

My favorite flower is the cafe au lait dahlia because it is just so ruffly and soft. I used that as my main inspiration for the whole day. Mine and my husband’s style is very eclectic, which definitely came out in the details. For example, we used all sorts of different containers as vases for the tables, everything from really neat liquor bottles, silver cream and sugar dishes, tea tins, mini apothecary bottles, and mason jars. I like the juxtaposition of styles, so I was really into putting beautiful delicate silver and gold pieces next to etched glass next to wood pieces, and putting them on the rougher burlap runners, and finishing it all off  with a little bit of lace. I didn’t want to be too matchy-matchy or constrained, so I basically just starting using anything and everything that I thought looked cool, even if it didn’t traditionally go together.

Bride’s advice to all of you.

The best piece of advice I can give to future brides is to make sure you as a couple consciously take some time to stop and take it all in together, because it all goes by so fast and it is really quite surreal. I think doing a sweetheart table is really the way to go because it allows you to have some time to yourselves (which is the only time that happened!) and to reflect on what the day is really about: the two of you and the commitment of love you just made to each other. Also, the sweetheart table makes you more accessible to guests that want to come up and chat with you versus the big bridal party table that is chatty and can be intimidating to approach. Also, do not get too caught up in the details! If the napkins aren’t the perfect color yellow – who cares! Remember what you are planning for: a wedding that leads to a marriage. And, remember to take time to work on the relationship and prepare for the marriage that comes after the wedding.

Vintage Inspired Wedding

English rose rain boots and mismatched rose bridesmaid dresses are such an unexpected wedding treat. Held at the Raspberry Acres Winery in Blairsville, PA under a tent decorated with pastel puffs .. there are a few other steal worthy ideas that you will not want to miss from this Vintage Inspired Wedding.  Be sure to check out the wedding video by ShoFilms and see the entire wedding gallery by clicking here.

We just have to mention how cute Andria looks our Rainbow Bride Tank Top. Such a perfect little number to wear while you are getting beautified. All of this Pennsylvania prettiness was captured by  Caitlin Thomas Photography.

While we obviously love ourselves some mason jar flower arrangements, it is super fun to see how each couple puts their spin on it. Andria and Stephen chose the blue mason jars with loosely arranged spring florals. We loved how they placed the colorful arrangements on vintage dollies surrounded by vintage knickknacks.  To see these pretty table arrangements up close and personal click here.

Pink And Teal Wedding

Stella Event Design created a vibrant color palette of pinks and teals for our next Southwest Michigan wedding. Although both of the colors are quite dynamic, they seem to play off of each other perfectly.

You are going to adore the teal flower girl dress. Seriously, how cute does she look in all that tulle? See more of this Pink And Teal Wedding captured by Bradley James Photography by clicking here.

The mix and match glass turquoise bottles filled with springs of hot pink florals is not only doable, but adds such a punch of color to the white tables and chairs. It might even be fun to find different primary colored bright bottles and keep the flowers one color for a festive look.

Travel Theme Wedding At The Smog Shoppe

Jenn and Victor are known for their love of wanderlust. So it seemed only natural that their wedding theme would be “around the world”. They carefully displayed art and objects collected  from various countries and used a map for their seating chart. Be sure to take note of the map it is quite a piece of art itself. They also incorporated Jenn’s Chinese heritage and Vic’s Mexican heritage throughout their cocktail hour, making it truly personal.

Enjoy more of this travel theme wedding at The Smog Shoppe photographed by Sweet Monday Photography in the full gallery.

Each guests was given a paper flower before they sat down for the wedding ceremony. After Jenn and Victor became husband and wife guests were asked to toss the flowers. Such a fun and idea.

For their reception, they had amazing BBQ to pay homage to Victor’s Texas roots as well as their mutual love of the BBQ. We love how they infused both of their heritages into their wedding favors. Saying thank you in both their languages on the favor tags is super cute.

Real Bridal Flower Accessories

We are head over heels with this next wedding idea. Using Real flowers in lieu of a traditional bouquet, or in addition to a bouquet. Ranging from bracelets, headbands, necklaces, belts even your wedding garter. Of course you must use hearty flowers that would not wilt quickly and would retain their shape & suppleness throughout a wedding day.

Melissa Schollaert Photography and Birch Blooms were inspired by all of the dresses featured at 2012 Spring Bridal Collection. Many gowns included flowers or natural floral motifs created out of fabric, ribbon and other accoutrements. Many of these flower details were found not only on the gowns, but also worn as headbands or in other accessories. Such a brilliant idea. See more real bridal flower accessories in the full wedding gallery.

Princess Wedding Ideas

eph*ra event design shared with us all these utterly romantic princess wedding ideas. Instead of a grand ball room theme, they opted to go with a charming garden setting. They layered lace, with soft pink flowers, green moss and vintage books.

They had such a lovely idea of having the bride display some her favorite  things at the table to represent her on her wedding day … a hand-painted tray, delicate mirrors, tiny lotus dishes, a crystal decanter, a frog prince, bunny bookends, old family pictures, chandeliers and bird cages. The beautiful pink silk boxed invitation and coordinating table numbers and menus tie in perfectly to the theme. Don’t you think? To see more princess wedding ideas click here. Old Fashioned Garden Wedding

Jen Rodriguez Photography shared with us this bright and cheery old fashioned garden wedding. Overflowing with seriously pretty wedding bouquets from April Flowers.

In fact, all of the wedding arrangements were pretty amazing. Janine, the bride, wanted an eclectic mix of lustrewear teacups and old bottles to hold a variety of blooms mixed with berries. There are so many more pretty floral pictures in the full gallery for all you pinners here. Love Me Simple created the custom ombre ceremony backdrop that is oh so fabulous.

The bride and groom were married at the Olallieberry Inn in Cambria, CA. It was a destination wedding and the couple wanted to treat their guests, mainly family, for this intimate wedding. The Olallieberry Inn holds a special place in the couple’s heart because this Inn is where the bride Janine’s parents stayed every year when they would visit Cambria. Janine’s father has passed away and being able to not only share this special place with the rest of their family, but to get married there just made the location that much more special. They brought in the talented ladies of Events Redefined to help pull Janine’s vision together.

Vintage/Anthropologie Themed Wedding

Allison wanted a vintage/anthropologie theme, which she knew is super popular, however she wanted to put her own little spin on the theme. Do not fret, she gives complete insight on the entire day. With a little help from her friends and some serious style – this wedding is surely to inspire. To see the entire wedding that was captured by onelove photography and read more from the bride. Be sure to click here.

From Allison on the ceremony site:

The curtain panels was something I wanted to do instead of an arch, which is very pricey. I purchased 27 yds of fabric (3 monochromatic tones of natural) from the Los Angeles downtown area and designed panels to create a neutral classic look for both sides of the gate. It provided two purposes; to mask the reception, and to create a ceremonial focal point. Gretchen Durgan with Flower Power LA only added to it’s design by suspending my little vintage bottles filled with flowers with jute twine.

Allison collected old photos and documents from both sides of the family and thought they would look awesome displayed on ripped dropcloth garlands that were made by visual merchadiser, Patrick Michael Masterso. The ripped dropcloth was originally hung in the window of Urban Outfitters, which I run by all the time and is how I came up with the idea. Patrick donated them to me for free and used the wooden clothespins and shipping tags to finish off my design and break the trend of hanging photos just on a clothesline.

In order to make these do-it-yourself table numbers Allison removed the glass and spray painted them with chalkboard paint and hand wrote each number with chalkboard marker. A steal worthy idea that we are sure you are going to take note of.

You might notice a fantastic bird garland in many of the photos, a $30 decoration that took forever to make and required the assistance of Allison and her friends. There are more close up views of this spectacular diy project in the full gallery. Amazing the things you can do with paper.

This lucky couple is the winner of the 2010 Choura Events Facebook Events Giveaway with De-Lovely Events. You must watch their submission video on YouTube here. It is pretty hilarious.

Vintage Chic Portugal Wedding

Today we are off to Portugal for Mariana and Duarte’s vintage chic wedding. This wedding is overflowing with family heirlooms, such as a small art deco chest that carried the rings. The rings were made with the same gold used for Duarte’s great-grandfather wedding rings. The earrings Mariana had were from her Grandmother and some vintages pins she wore on her beautiful dress were from her Aunt. Talk about keeping it in the family.

Brancoprata captured this wedding and knows for a fact that all the guests danced the night away until 6am. To see more wedding details from this vintage chic wedding click here.

How sweet is Mariana and Duarte’s wishing tree table? Filled with sentimental items including Mariana’s Aunt’s art nouveau ink holders. Guests were asked to write their well wishes and then pin them to a small olive tree with a clothes pin. Incredibly cute, don’t you think?

Steal worthy idea:

The couple made table numbers out of doilies and a gigantic doilies tree showed guest were would they be seated. How much do you love that? Brancoprata did all the flowers (except for the church flowers), and we love the simple yet incredibly chic little arrangements scattered throughout. As far as the flowers, they used a mix of coral and pink colors. They incorporated glass cake stands from Marinha Grande, crochet doilies, egg holders, old bottles, cake stands and bell jars candle holders to hold they flowers, a very old weighing-machine … everything was used and incorporated to make the vintage look more modern and chic. We love it.

Country Vintage Pastel Wedding by Jenny Haas Photography

The rolling farm country of central Ohio was the perfect backdrop for this homemade-inspired wedding. There was a warmness to the entire event. Linen suits with suspenders and mismatched bridesmaid’s dresses brought a casual atmosphere to the day’s happenings.

You will definitely want to take note of the detail packed reception, with textures of vintage quilts, wood accents, and dramatic arrangements of peonies and a seriously cute pastel desert table. We love everything about this country-vintage wedding by Jenny Haas Photography. There are so many more details to see in the full wedding gallery that you will not want to miss.

A Simply Shabby Chic Wedding

Before we dive into this week’s Sweet Treats we had to share with you Mary and Dana’s backyard wedding. Mary actually found a vintage green tandem bike in Santa Cruz that she wanted to use as her wedding theme … and after discovering our Tandem Bike Free Printable Wedding Invitations Templates, she was all about it. We love it! She also looks pretty darn cute in our Vintage Bride Tee shirt captured by Jessica Burke Photograpy. To see more delicious photographs be sure to see the entire wedding gallery.

Fortunately for Mary, her mom owns an antique shop, Junk in the Trunk … how cute is that name? So sourcing a lot of her decor was relatively easy. The milk bottle vases were found at various flea markets that her mom frequents, and the banners were made by the bride herself and she sells for holidays in her mom’s store. How stinking cute are those personalized wine labels? Remember so many more shabby chic wedding ideas to see in the wedding gallery.

Spring garden daisy wedding bouquet for a rustic casual garden wedding.

Soft and loosely arranged, this bouquet looks like it came straight from the garden. It’s perfect for the sweet bride that loves Daisies. Garden roses and fragrant herbs add fullness, texture and scent while the bow finishes the bouquet with nice country flair.

Flowers: Daisies, Daffodils, Garden Roses, Ranunculuses, Mimosas, herbs and foliage

Peony wedding bouquet for the modern bride looking for pops of color.

This bouquet is sweet and innocent, yet playful. The Peonies look so delicious; they almost look like cotton candy. The vibrant hues of yellow, coral and hot pink blend nicely together; making this an ideal bouquet for a summer wedding.

Flowers: Peonies, Craspedias, Tulips, Roses, Ranunculuses, Mimosas and foliage

A classic spring bouquet complete with berries and major pops of color.

Spring inspired bouquet featuring some of the best flowers of the season. Anemones and Peonies open beautifully and the Hyacinths with their signature sweet fragrance are the stars of this beautiful composition. A few Hyacinth blossoms will do since the scent is so strong. For a pop of color, add some lime green Viburnums to this classic bouquet.

Flowers: Anemones, Roses, Peonies, Hyacinths, Viburnums and Viburnum berries.

A romantic vintage bouquet with lace and pearls.

This romantic vintage bouquet has an understated elegance. Instead of real feathers, Astilbe is used to add a pretty soft, feathery texture to the bouquet. The white lace is a nice contrast to the flowers and the brooch and pearl strands add some personal touches.

Flowers: Amnesia Roses, Stock, Sweet Peas, Scabiosa Pods, Astilbe and Astrantia

Kate Spade Inspired Wedding Ideas

This eclectic, chic photo shoot was inspired completely by Kate Spade. MMD Events wanted to create a table reflecting the eclectic, bright colors and chic design. The absolute perfect location for this eclectic chic inspiration shoot was the Postcard Inn, a fabulous new boutique hotel located on St. Pete Beach. Everything was focused and designed around a bold pattern and the colors of kelly green, hot pink, gold, orange, and black and white. Read on hear more about how this Kate Spade Wedding shoot came to life. All photographed beautifully by Florida wedding photographer, Tina Bass Photography

Be sure to check out all the details by clicking here

We wanted to show brides that they can use bright colors and bold patterns and still be chic and modern. Placed with unique plates, the simple, chic menus created by Emily Ley Paper were the starting element. A simplistic colored border and matching font coordinated with the color of the napkins and the “place books”. Place cards created by Emily were made to look like “titles” for miniature books, doubling as favors at each place setting. Various found objects and a unique table number created by Every Last Detail added to the eclectic feel for the table.

A gorgeous centerpiece in shades of pink garden roses was placed on top of fashion magazines, standing out against the backdrop of a chic black lamp. A champagne and gold overlay was draped over a kelly green satin linen, all provided by Connie Duglin Linen. Gold chivari chairs from Signature Event Rentals were adorned by custom chivari chair toppers created by Simply & Forever Boutique, adding the perfect amount of style and sophistication. Combined with a custom bench cover made of a black and white floral print, the black and white seating completed the whole table.

Our stunning model wore a gorgeous gown provided by White Closet Co. and was all dolled up by Hope Henderson Artistry and Hair By Monique. She was accessorized with Stella & Dot jewelry, Bethany Lorelle hairpieces, and an adorably chic clutch from Oatmeal Lace Design. These bright colors and bold patterns are perfect for a stylish bride wanting a wedding that is a little different, yet still incredibly chic. And of course the details are what complete this whole eclectic chic look!

Ireland Boho Chic Wedding Ideas

It is a great day over here at The Wedding Chicks! We have more sugar-coated eye candy for you to swoon over from Brosnan Photographic.

The entire set up took place at The Fern Cafe restaurant in County Wicklow, Ireland. Designed by the lovely ladies at The Bridal Lounge in Dublin, the scene features mismatched chairs in faded pinks, blues and greens, crystal chandeliers tied with ribbons and the most amazing floor to ceiling french paned windows with views over lush country gardens. Read on to see how they set up this to-die-for wedding shoot.

To see all the details from this inspirational shoot click here

The initial inspiration came from the venue itself and from the eclectic range of vintage inspired and wildly colorful, chintzy wonders in the Avoca ranges (which we were allowed pilfer at will for the shoot – we were like kids in a candy shop bringing the concept to life!!) We mixed wooden bird houses, with elegant glassware, mismatched china and lots of coloured candle holders to create a ‘grown up’ tea-party feel, with the overall look being a ‘luxe-vintage-chic’. A miniature tree adorned with individual cards in a sparkling french vintage theme with the guests initials on the front, and table number on the back served as the escort table, and guests were welcomed with a vintage wooden notice board draped with jewels and pearls.

The cake table featured a wooden birdhouse to compliment the birds on the china plates, and assorted cake holders in simple white china – and again lots of colored glass candle holders to bring light and color – although nothing could take center stage quite like the amazing (and delicious) french fruit flan and tartlets!

The flowers couldn’t have been anything but wildflowers, and Deirdre from Ruby&Bloom used mixed heathers and dahlias with delicate wildflowers in vintage holders and birdcages that were flea market finds. The bride’s bouquet was a simple avalanche rose bouquet with lisianthus and freesia and bound with raffia and a luxurious smokey velvet bow to give an earthy yet luxe, boho feel.

The Bride wore a selection of dresses from White Orchid in Dublin complemented by beautiful hair and makeup by Aoife Callaghan Makeup Artist and Michelle Grimes. Michelle adorned Kamila’s hair with a beautiful silk flower corsage from Ban.do which worked so perfectly with the overall look.

Reno, Nevada Handmade Wedding

Let’s start out our Monday right with a, seriously cute handmade wedding from Reno, Nevada Photographer Courtney Wilson Photography.

You are going to love all the details made with love from Cindy, the bride, who personalized her wedding with her passion for ‘from scratch’ creations and took DIY to a whole new level. The majority of the desserts and the favors are from scratch, as well as most of the decorations. Sit back relax and enjoy this handmade extravaganza and be sure to read Cindy’s blog, Hungry Girl Porvida. She has some tasty treats going on.

To see all the juicy handmade wedding details click here

From Cindy, the bride on her homemade wedding adventure

With the help of my fabulous friends and family, I was able to do so much DIY! I really think that the hands-on aspect of this really made the day and all of the details that much more special. Most of the decor was hand-made, some was thrifted, and some things were items that we have in our home. We literally sewed yards and yards of fabric flags, not to mention the bow ties for all of the guys. Baking the desserts was really the only option for me, I not only felt like I had to but I really, really wanted to! Most of my family and friends know about my blog and many haven’t tried anything that I’ve made, so this was really a time for me to share with them. A lot of people told me that I would be overwhelmed by all the tasks I took on, and though it was a whirlwind of baking, crafting, canning, and sewing in the weeks and days before the wedding, I really wouldn’t have it any other way.

Texas Rustic Wedding

Texas weddings always seem to be filled with charm and good old fashioned elegance. Cassie and Sam’s rustic wedding is definitely not an exception. They chose a fantastic Texas venue filled with country flair and rustic charm, The Vista West Ranch.

They chose a romantic and classic color palette of soft pinks, whites and creams. To complement the country feel of the venue, Cassie incorporated rustic touches. The table numbers were brass house numbers placed in the centerpieces and flowers were arranged loosely in vintage glass vessels. Wendee from Lucie’s Events custom designed the distressed window frame “Guest Book” and hung it from one of the amazing trees on Vista West Ranch‘s property.

Shannon Cunningham Photography did an outstanding job of photographing this charming wedding.

A Beyond Stylish Orange County Wedding

Honestly we really cannot gush enough about Hugh Forte Photography! His work is beyond stylish thus the reason why he snags up some of the chicest weddings around. Without a doubt our next wedding is no exception, filled to the brim with elements of the past, whimsical florals and pastel details. Josh and Marci’s Orange County wedding is sure to inspire.

Read on to find out how Marci and Josh’s wedding came to life.

From The Bride on her wedding details!

Inspiration for our wedding came after I found my dress; Blair Britt (our wedding coordinator) and I completely fell in love with the vintage lace look of the dress, and knew we would take advantage of the vintage look throughout the wedding. Josh had no idea what my dress looked like, but liked the colors and theme we proposed. Once we picked the theme of our wedding, we knew we immediately wanted to go with Hugh Forte Photography. His style of photography worked so well with our desired theme.

We had a wonderful time collecting different vases and going to antique stores; however, our true excitement came when Blair Britt found a vintage desk at an antique store that she refurbished for us to use as for our dessert table. We painted it white, and it really set the stage for the cake and dessert (all made by Jay’s Catering). Josh and I also wanted a backdrop for our dessert table, so Blair came up with the idea of making a ribbon backdrop.

Our florists Jayne used about 5 vases/jars at every table. Each table was unique in that we didn’t have a uniform look, but instead put together various combination of jars for the tables. Joie De Vie (the jewelry and paper good company owned/operated by Blair Britt) put together all of the paper goods and bridal/bridesmaid jewelry at our wedding. It was great to maintain the same theme throughout our rsvps, invitations, menus, programs, fans, etc.

The highlight of our wedding was the same day ceremony video footage that was created by Tom O’Hara and Matthew Forrey from Aqua Vivus Productions. They surprised us by creating a quick edit of the ceremony to be played at the reception; it is the one part of our wedding that our guests can’t stop talking about.

Eco-Friendly Wedding Celebration

Theresa and Giovanni wanted their wedding to be a family-centric and eco-friendly celebration, and we worked together to make it just that! Theresa’s family is largely from Iowa, while Giovanni’s is from Italy; so this wedding was such a fun fusion of cultures. They even hired an Italian DJ/emcee so that he could translate the ceremony into Italian for Giovanni’s family.

The venue was the garden of a private home in the San Fernando Valley owned by the founder/executive chef of Savor Solar Catering, Susan Rigali. Susan is an organic caterer with many years of experience in eco-conscious catering. She grows her own produce on the property and uses a huge solar-powered oven to prepare her delicious meals. Wedding guests dined alfresco at long feasting tables in the garden, enjoying an Italian-inspired feast prepared by Susan (who also happens to be Italian!).

Thanks to Katy Carrier Events for sharing this eco friendly wedding with us and Benjamin Lowry Photography for capturing this lovely wedding.

Rancho Las Lomas Shabby Chic Wedding

It is official you are going to LOVE our next wedding from San Diego wedding photographers Anika London.

It is vintage, country and shabby chick all wrapped up in one cute package. Tina and David tied the knot at Rancho Las Lomas in Orange County California. Tina is daunting a gorgeous Melissa Sweet wedding dress and the bridesmaid each add their own eclectic mix to their wedding look. All in all this wedding is filled with steal worthy eye candy.

Tina and David actually took their portraits before the ceremony. We love to hear the opinions of brides that have experienced this so that you can make the best decision for your special day. Below is what Tina had to say on her choice.

“We’re so glad we took all of our pictures before the wedding. It gave us more time to hang out with our guests and we were able to enjoy every part of our wedding. The day goes by so fast so that extra time with our family and friends was really special. ”

We are quite positive that there are going to be a few images here that you are going to steal some inspiration from. Tina and David wanted a vintage, country, shabby chic style wedding. Tina really like that shabby chic cottage look and Dave really wanted a rustic country style, so combine the two and you have a rustic shabby chic extravaganza.

Take note of all the incredible love and detail that went into this wedding. How tasty do the white chocolate pretzels look? Carrie Goff pretty much did an amazing job of coordinating this detail filled wedding.

London Garden Wedding

An incredibly super pretty wedding from London Photographer Marianne Taylor. Below is bit about Jonny and Amy wedding.

Amy’s gorgeous dress and veil were by Amanda Wakely Sposa and her beautiful hair bloom, an ivory feather peony which I absolutely l-o-v-e-d, was designed and made by Yasmin Rizvi. Her perfectly imperfect hair was carefully teased into place by Victoria Boorman and her make up was done by Vicky Snepp from Space NK in Tunbridge Wells.

The reception was held in a marquee decorated beautifully with flower arrangements made by a family friend, Judy Debenham (who was responsible for the gorgeous bouquets as well), and lots of personal touches, such as the cute lavender bags made by Amy’s mum and the napkins which were made by Amy herself from fabric off-cuts from Cabbages and Roses gorgeous fabrics.

Hotel Bel-Air Wedding From Jasmine Star

A Hotel Bel-Air Wedding with whites, blushes, delicate lace details and Jasmine Star. What more could a girl ask for?

Robert and Marisa wanted a garden wedding that was filled with elegance and romance. Everything had a cohesive look and feel thanks to the ever talented Joyful Weddings & Events. Including large fluffy hydrangea centerpieces accented with mixed size vases and apothecary jars filled with fresh white flowers. Big fluffy pillows to relax on and tid bits of lace thrown here and there. All of this simply accented Marisa’s fabulous wedding gown designed by Monique Lhuillier. Which, was actually the first dress Marissa tried on. The dress was called, “Faith.” It had a elegant sweetheart lace top flowed perfectly with the silk organza bottom.

Before the guests even arrived at the Los Angeles wedding venue they were treated with invites from William Arthur. Lined on a shimmery taupe card stock and bound by an elegant satin ribbon tied with a perfect bow. The envelopes were lined in satin ecru fabric. An M&R logo (for Marisa & Robert) tied all invitation pieces together, and was extended to reception details such as place cards and the labels on our party favors. All the little details made this wedding perfect.

JL Designs created some extraordinary floral pieces for this event. Especially the bridal bouquet. It was medium bouquet consisting of full-bodied garden roses in shades of white, ivory and cream. The bouquet was made to be full and lush with some natural greens (gardenia leaves) showing. The stems were wrapped in satin ribbon to match the Bride’s gown and overlaid with off white lace.

Pretty In Pink Backyard Wedding

Liga Photography shared with us this pretty in pink Florida wedding that you are going to Love.

Amanda and Justin’s wedding was a perfect mix of eclectic details and romantic colors. Her 11 bridesmaids were individually unique by each wearing a different dress with a mixture of vintage pink and cream, accented with a whimsical accessory. One unique gift she gave to her bridesmaids was a hand made handkerchief.

Justin and his groomsmen wore gray suits with blue ties. Justin, the groom wore a blue bow tie with tiny white polka dots. The invitations and their monogram design by Rifle Designs was the inspiration of their whole wedding decor. Peonies were the flower of choice and placed throughout. Amanda thought of such fun details such as the “masquerade-esque” paper lips for the wedding party.

Eastern Shore, Maryland Real Wedding

Bellafare,, an adorable boutique event planning company shared with us their, “By the Bay,” Eastern Shore, Maryland wedding.

This beautiful wedding took place at the groom’s summer home in Maryland. Both the bride and groom grew up in Maryland and have always loved being on the water. The groom proposed a year prior in the very spot where they exchanged their vows. With this wedding they wanted to express their love of the bay in every little detail. Bellafare achieved this by hosting the ceremony on the pier, having the bride and groom depart on a boat that read “just married,” and sending guests home with Maryland crab shaped cookies.

The couple is very family oriented and incorporating their dog Sadie and their 8-year-old son was a must. Their airstream (a.k.a Bambi) that was featured on the groom’s cake represents their laid back and active lifestyle.

The choosing of her Vera Wang dress came from her need for a design that was vintage yet ethereal and romantic. In fact, one of April’s biggest passions is collecting antiques, which was apparent in her diverse assortment of vases and juleps spread throughout the dinner tables. Bellafare incorporated other vintage touches through the use of lace tablecloths and other family heirloom linens.

While they love Maryland, the couple now resides in Florida where they often listen to bluegrass music while fishing on their boat. This love of bluegrass led to the booking of the band, Tab Benoit that perfectly complimented the country chic theme.

Stylish New York Loft Wedding

Let’s get this party started with a super fly fresh NYC wedding from Angelica Glass.

We recently met Angelica Glass at WPPI and she was the definition of awesome. She was dancing the night away and basically pure fun. Kinda like our next wedding. So, long story short is Angelica did not write a whole lot about their wedding so I kinda sneaked around and found their wedding web site and basically I am know officially in love with Tamar and Matt and wish I was able to attend their wedding.

Our wedding will begin with a cocktail hour, followed by the ceremony, followed by a cocktail-party style reception. Lots of spirited spirits, dancing, and yes, there will be definitely be LOTS of food. We’re just not opting for a sit-down/seating chart-style dinner. Why? Because we know a lot of you are total boozebags, because dancing at a party is more fun than sitting. (And if you’ve met Matt, he doesn’t really sit around much.)

Weddings are real life and they reflect the couple and Tamar and Matt they are just keeping it real. On to the wedding!

All that is delicious will continue so stay tuned for more of Matt & Tamar’s Real New York Wedding.
