From Lindsay Docherty Photography:“My heart is like a rainbow shell that paddles in a halcyon sea. My heart is gladder than all these because my love is come to me…” Christina Georgina Rossetti penned those words in her poem entitled, and with those words, this shoot was born.
The long runner printed by calligrapher extraordinaire Mara Zapeda reflects the words of this poem in hues of the rainbow against a bright white background. Lindsay of Lindsay Docherty Photography and Tonia of Aribella Events knew their next step would be finding the perfect location. The newly renovated barn at the Duportail House provided the perfect backdrop.
An intimate wedding with an all-white theme allows the bright colors of the rainbow to take center stage. From the stationery suite to the colorful ribbons draped through chandeliers over the color-blocked centerpieces in vintage milk glasses to the tasty dessert table, the playful touches add whimsy to a casual but elegant affair. The bridal party donned all white on this beautiful day.
