Shabby Chic Backyard Wedding

peach and white bouquet

Wedding signs are HUGE right now! So when we saw the fabulous fruit crate signage in Isaac and Angela's big day, we knew we'd have to share! Bonus!! We are so grateful to see the cost of this shabby chic backyard wedding. It truly goes to show you can create a magical day, and still be on a budget.
So, sit back and enjoy all their DIY details and see everything in the full gallery here. All beautifully captured by the talented Jessica Angeline Photography.

The Bride's shabby chic vision

My vision for the wedding was shabby chic, with some rustic and whimsical touches. I knew I wanted burlap and lace, with touches of light pastels for the colors. Both the ceremony and reception were held at my parent’s house out in the country

One of our neighbors donated wooden fruit boxes and wooden apricot drying crates that were used for signs that went up the driveway and reception. My cousin Holly ended up painting some of the signs that I wasn’t able to get to, and my dad also made some signs to guide the guests to the bottom of our driveway as it is out in the country and can be hard to locate.

The centerpieces were made of recycled wine bottles that my grandma wrapped with twine, some mason jars from my mom's kitchen, little tin buckets that had a lace cut out at the top from target, and all three pieces of the center piece sat on wooden rounds that my step dad cut up from a dead oak tree on the property.

On the wedding decor & favors

For the wedding favors I wanted to do a sweets table and my Aunt offered to do it. She bought all the candy and made some of her own personal touches to display. It turned out really cute and was a huge hit.

We didn’t do the standard for our wedding cake. My brother-in-law Ryan made the stand that our cupcakes and cake went on. One of Isaacs sisters wants to open her own bakery in the future so we asked if she would make our wedding cake and cupcakes for us, she was happy to do this. We also had cupcakes for the guests to enjoy. It turned out beautiful and the cake and cupcakes were delicious.
