Planned in 6 months

From the bride: Will and I had NO idea where to begin. Our wedding was only 6 months away and neither of us were much planners, so we went into panic mode straightaway. We needed to find our wedding venue yesterday, but finding a space that represented us both was going to be a challenge. But lo and behold, the The Gallery Room at the Stone House Stirling Ridge was the perfect balance of us both – modern and rustic.

Simple and fun

Throughout the rest of the planning process, Will and I just focused on keeping things simple. We didn’t want our wedding to be overly extravagant, but instead really wanted our closest family and friends to enjoy a cozy night. We also wanted our wedding to represent us – classic and simple with a hint of ridiculousness. We kept our wedding light-hearted with our invites and our piggy bank party favors, and then brought in elegance with our lovely flowers and DIY banners that were strung across the reception room.

Some good advice

For the reception, we opted for a long king’s table where everyone was seated together. The rest of the night was spontaneously magical – sprinkled with a little bit of dancing, deep-belly laughter and lots of love to go around. Overall we couldn’t be more happier with the way things turned out! Everything sort of just fell in to place perfectly and we wouldn’t have done it any other way. My advice to any bride and groom would be to just do you!
