From Mackenna Waterhouse Photography: After the bridal party prepped at the beautiful Camel Back Inn Scottsdale, more than 100 guests gathered in the driveway of her parent’s beautiful ranch house style residence for an intimate ceremony, followed by cocktail hour in the front yard and a reception in a “secret garden” backyard.
Personal Details
Every detail of the day had a personal touch, beginning as far back as the invitations (the mother of the bride designed and hand-painted the logo), the flower girl’s handmade dress (also by the mother of the bride), and ending with a surprise Chinese lantern send-off at the end of the night by the bride and groom.
Something To Consider
From the bride: I thought that having back yard wedding would save us some cash, but here’s the deal– you have to bring EVERYTHING in. Venues are set up for wedding and so many things that you wouldn’t think of, they have thought of, and are already included in the price. That being said, I LOVED having my wedding at home and do not regret it one bit.
