Comfort is key, especially when sharing your home town on your wedding day. Monica and Patrick’s southern comfort wedding day was filled with fun and surprises. Just wait until you see who showed up at their reception!

Sharing TN with NYC

For us, we just knew the things that were most important to us. We just wanted to have the perfect party with a little southern flare. The majority of the guests were traveling from NYC and we wanted them to have a great first visit to Tennessee. Most importantly, we wanted everyone to have fun the entire time!

What Makes You Happy?

I think my design philosophy was just do what makes us happy and not question it too much. I kind of centered the design around the streamer colors that I hand dyed and sewed.

Also, I didn’t want to just do flowers on the table and like the modern eclectic look for the table, so we did milk vases with succulents, kitschy ceramic animal figurines spray painted matte gold, and wildflower vases.

Surprise Guest At The Reception

My favorite part of the wedding was the surprise guest “Dolly Parton” impersonator because we didn’t tell anyone. It was our wedding day secret. It was a really fun surprise and everyone really enjoyed taking pictures with her!
