Create a wedding vibe

Armstrong Manor was the perfect setting for the nuptials of this loving couple. The lush, outdoor surroundings were romantic, soft and beautiful. The couple’s vows were exchanged on the porch of the colonial style home. As guests arrived, they were greeted with a wonderful set-up of vintage furniture, pictures of the bride and groom throughout their lives, and of course, their seating assignments – which were written on refurbished windows. This initial greeting set the relaxed, stylish vibe for the whole day to come.

Pasedena Wedding

crisp spring palette

Green and yellow accompanied by plenty of white, were fresh, crisp and bright, perfect for this spring-turning-to-summer, wedding. There were traditional round tables, as well as long, rectangular, wooden farm tables. The gorgeous farm tables were dressed simply, with a colored burlap runner and flowers, allowing the natural beauty of the wood to be seen. The table numbers, made on burlap backing with a lace doily, were a lovely touch of color, while keeping with the natural feel of the day. The flowers were kept springy and soft, using bright yellows and lots of baby’s breath, as well as adding lemons to the table decor for a fun punch of color.

Guest List Advice from the bride

My husband and I both wish that we socialized with our guests during the cocktail hour. We were disappointed that we listened to the "supposed to's" of staying out of guest's sight. Even when my husband and I had our pictures taken, we still had time leftover and wish we had taken advantage of every second with guests. I wish that I would have not been so concerned with inviting certain people from work. I have read this over and over, but like I read, I ended up leaving that job and don't really talk to the people that I was so concerned about inviting. I think it's important that the bride and groom invite who they want to be there, not who they feel should be there.
