A great way to brighten up your face for your rehearsal dinner, engagement party or for whenever is to apply some faux lashes. Here to show us how to easily create lush, thick lashes with faux lashes is makeup artist Le Mariee. Before you get started you are going to need a few supplies that you can find below. All captured by Photographer Kate Triano and modeled by Emily Janes.

1. Katy Perry Lashes in Darling: Selected by Katy as a cute and wearable evening style. A dark, sculpted lash designed for easy evening wear. An ideal event lash that will suit all eye shapes. They even have instructions on the back.
2. Eyelash Curler by Shiseido: Hands down the best eyelash curler on the market, firmly catches each lash at the root and leaves them beautifully lifted and curled.
3. Mascara: Love this mascara, it is uhhh-amazing. They're Real! Mascara from Benefit. A jet-black mascara that lengthens, curls, volumizes, lifts, and separates lashes for a spectacular "out-to-here" look.
4. Eyelash adhesive from Duo: Hold your false eyelashes securely in place, for a look that is all drama—in a good way.
5. Small Scissors:  A scissor to cut and shape your fake eyelashes. Cut and shape before application of lashes.

Step One:
Before putting on your pretty lashes, dress up your eyes. For this tutorial Le Mariee did a metallic eye, which is perfect for a rehearsal dinner or special night out. Start out by curling your real lashes with an eyelash curler. You can warm the curler under a blow dryer for about 3 seconds. Just make sure the metal isn't too hot for your eye. This is by far one of the best tricks we have ever used.
Coat your lashes with mascara as usual. We love They're Real! Mascara by Benefit. Do not worry if it is not a perfect coat on your top lashes. The only purpose is to act as a glue to hold your natural lashes to the faux lashes. Lightly crimp your lashes after applying mascara.

Step Two:
Time to prep your lashes. Hold the lashes up to your eyes to see how much you need to trim off. Faux lashes that do not fit your eyes properly will poke the corners of your eyes and cause you to be uncomfortable. Where you made the cut the lashes should be placed at the end of your eye, while the side will be at the front of your eye going from left to right.
Step Three:
Apply a small amount of the glue to the inner part of the lashes. Remember that a little bit of glue goes a long way.

Step Four:
Using your index fingers to gently press the glued lashes onto your natural lash line, starting from the end of your eye towards the front. Gently blending your faux lashes with your natural lashes. The secret is to keep the clusters to five or fewer and stay away from the inside of the eye. Add another coat of mascara to blend the faux lashes in with your real ones. and use your curler one last time just a pump will do and voila you look gorgeous.
