These invitations are so special. I would love it if my invitations somehow had a combination of romance and elegance tying it in with some red (the color my bridesmaids dresses). I love monograms too.
I love the ones with the green bow, except my wedding color will be yellow & grey. A grey bow with yellow string would be so classy and pretty!
I love the Elmo invitations in the celebration gallery! My daughter loves Elmo!
I love the tan and navy menu card! So chic and elegant. You are so creative, I’m inspired by your site!
I really like the menu with the rope and ribbon
the simple thread is absolutely perfectly perfect. less is more.
The vision I have for my wedding invitations is of a vintage “lovebirds” print with lots of whimsicle swirls printed in peach and taupe colored ink and wrapped in a strip of burlap with a thinner strip of lace stiched over the top of the burlap. I love the oragnic texture and feel of the burlap and the romance of the lace. It sends exactly the message that I want to hint to my guests…..it will be a comfortable, kick your shoes off party oozing with butterflies in your stomach love and romance.
They are beautiful! I wish my DIY invitations were only close to yours!
I am getting married at Brooklyn Academy of Music, and would love to use the venue as an inspiration for our invitations. Either the art deco/old movie house architecture or the vintage Brooklyn feel.
I would LOVE a silhouette of my fiance and I on the invitation!
My design for our wedding invitations would be vintage chic! Soft colors of pink cream, and blue lace detailing and a hint of glamour using rhinestones would be perfect! Spring time is our season and this design would definitely fit our theme!
I am in LOVE with the Abstract Waves design Lori’s February 8th blog post. My engagement ring is a round cut center stone diamond with a detached pave diamond halo. The scalloped edge circle on the belly band with the couples initials on the inside reminds me of my ring and I would LOVE to incorporate that design into my wedding invitations! So many couples use overlapping circles as a symbol for 2 people coming together, but my fiancee and I love the idea of a circle within a circle…the two of us as the inner circle with our friends and family creating the outer circle.
I love the organic beauty of their invitation suites. I would like to incorporate an Old World pattern with a touch of lace for my inviations to go along with my vintage European wedding. Thank you!
I love the fabric bands. Using different scraps of fabric would lend to a delicious homegrown wedding.
For our wedding, we are going for the laid back country/vintage feeling. My fiance and I plan to be married at the site of a restored barn over looking fields. I think simple invitations with bright colors that pop in various areas will fit our bright yellow and dark blue summer wedding!
I love the luggage tag save the dates…. perfect for a destination wedding! Its fitting for me because our families are on separate sides of the country.
Loving anything lace!
These are all so gorgeous! I love the simple card invite with the floral print fabric belly band!
The belly bands and the stitching are amazing! I would love to win invitations for our small destination wedding in Sedona, AZ. Our venue has a rustic, old world feel. Wow, so many creative possibilities!
I just adore how the invitations are bundled together with string – gives it a little old age feel to something already so beautiful. love the lace belly band, too. simply elegant!
Oh! The fabric and the little belly band! Adorable. I’m thinking it would make the invitations REALLY heavy and expensive to send though. Am I right?
I would love to use burlap or fabric to create a vintage looking invitation with a natural feel. I love her use of fabric!
Seriously? That belly band is what I want!
My dress (well, I haven’t ordered it just yet, but I tried it on two days ago and I know it’s the dress) has lace tiers with scalloped edges just like that band. I hadn’t even considered the thought of having a connection between the invitation and the dress. I was originally thinking of a feminine font with creamy colors to compliment the color scheme of our wedding.
My wedding is on June 1, 2012. :)
Good luck everyone! I am humbled by all of your sweet comments and can’t wait to work with the winner.
I love one invitation that looks like it has red coral on it as a design. I also like when there are strips of fabric or lace wrapped around them. Beautiful!
I love the programs with the sewn name band around the cover. So Cute!
I love the envelope linings! My wedding is June 4, 2011 so if I win I would love to give these to my maid of honor who just got engaged and will be marrying sometime after August 2011.
I love the abstract wave design. My fiance and I are avid cyclists, so we are trying to find a way to incorporate bikes into our rustic chic wedding, without being too cheesy :) Our base color is brown, and will be accented with purple and burnt orange.
I love the bright colors with the coral!
So fantastic!

SO.. i went to the website just to have a short look.. then I went to their blog and just spent the last hour looking instead of paying attention in class. Needless to say, i think the belly wraps around the invitation bundles are what makes these invitations. There’s so many different ideas and styles that truly make these invitations unique.
So.. for right now my favorite is from the blog post on feb 8 of the invitiation suite called “abstract waves”. I love that belly wrap and the whole stitching on paper look. i’m sure as i will inevitably be spending another hour looking at this i’ll find a new favorite.
My wedding is in June 2012!!!
I really like the Abstract Wave suite on their blog. It would go so well with my modern Jan. 2012 wedding.
My favorite idea for an invitation is the Old Hollywood look. I love the 40/50s era. Incorporating classic colors like black and ivory with a bold damask print. We’d love to achieve that look for our 11/11/11 wedding!
I’m in LOVE with the Mock lace detailed wedding invitation.I absolutely just LOVE the unique style for wedding invites. Destination wedding 12/2011.
I love the old-fashioned romance of using older-issue, non-matching stamps. I Can’t wait to get creative on those envelopes!
My dream invitations would be mexican theme with a pistachio green and a pale yellow with lace incorporated in the invite, maybe some succulents too. We are doing a beach wedding and I think that would just be the perfect invite to send to everyone. It won’t be Mexico but a girl can dream, right?! :)
I LOVE the idea of pockets for invites and RSVP cards. Maybe I’m a nerd, but the thought of my guests receiving a little tied up package that opens into an organized pocket absolutely thrills me!
I love the idea of having custom invites! This is something we felt was totally out of our budget, outside of DIY, so I’m so excited at the potential of winning this drawing. My boyfriend and I would love to see an invite that incorporates our love of music, especially rock, without looking like an over-the-top birthday party invite. I haven’t seen anything conceptualized yet that really jives with the subtle vibe we’re going for, so I’d be interested to work with Lori and see what she might be able to come up with!
I love the “Mexican Loteria” STDs they showed on their blog. So colorful and exciting!
I love Lori’s work!! It’s hard to pick a favorite concept…but I would have to say that I have been quite smitten with her Eco-friendly wedding collection, specifically the main invitation! I feel like it’s perfect!! It sort of encapsulates what we invasion for a perfect invitation! :) P.S. happy, happy birthday wedding chicks!! Not a day goes by that I don’t see what loveliness you ladies have cooked up!
I love the idea of using fabric for wedding invitation. I think it brings out vintage chic, yet simple and modern look.
I am absolutely swooning over the lace detailed wedding invitations. These would be a wonderful first impression for our guests for our fall wedding.
Our wedding is 9/17/11. We have already booked a florist that specializes in locally grown, organic flowers. I absolutely love her work because every bouquet and centerpiece looks like it was freshly picked from a field of wildflowers! I would love to incorporate this theme into our invitations!
I actually really love the invitations in the post with the lace, as well. It fits perfectly with our ‘vintage glam’ theme, especially since my dress has a lot of lace! I also think the one on the website with the ditsy floral fabric is adorable!! I am getting married 9/3/11 :)
I adore the one that’s featured here. Lace is a central theme in my September 2011 wedding. Just a little constructive criticism- while the website is beautiful, I find it a little difficult to navigage. I wanted to be able to zoom in on more samples!
I love everything she does, I esp love how she treads the pages together.
I love them all! I can’t pick a favorite!
I love the invitations with the bright flower printed on Crane’s lettra cardstock. We are having an eco friendly wedding and I love the cozy inviting feel of the colors printed on that particular paper. It would be perfect for our August wedding! Lovely.
I love lace on invitations. lace is going to be the theme of my wedding on aug 31 and i just cant get enough!
I love invitations printed on wood veneer! They are very rustic and chic!
I love the use of burlap ribbon in the rustic wedding invites. The wedding is being held @ an old farm house nestled in the Hudson Valley in upstate NY overlooking the Catskill Mountains. I adore rustic chic touches and that is what our wedding is all about: rustic chic and natural elements.
I love the invitation suite featured on November 15, 2010 in their blog. It’s classic with a fun pop of color! I would do purple in the envelope liner with a medium purple font.
I can’t believe the amount of detail that goes into each of these invitations. I would absolutely love to send these out for my September wedding. We are having it on the Cali coast so it would be cool to incorporate land and sea into the design while keeping it simple and modern.
I’m head over heels for Paper and Thread’s RSVP tags–talk about brilliant! Other than that, any suite with twine bundling it together gets a huge thumbs up from me.

And, once again, happy birthday, Wedding Chicks! You rock. For realz.
We are having our wedding at a beautiful little farm in Texas. I love the idea of having a romantic and rustic feeling invitation, using burlap and pale blues and gray. Our wedding is going to have a very relaxed and homey feel, and I would just love to have an invitation that reflected that!
I LOVE the color scheme and ideas from the winners from Wedding Chicks featured on the blog on Feb. 28th. So cute, modern, and sweet!
We’re thinking sapphire, coral, and soft caramels as our wedding colors. My finacee’s family is coming in from Ireland, so we would love to customize some sort of airmail theme! How fun!
i like the invitatinos tied with the thread. Simple, and sweet!
I’m looking for something with a vintage home-goodness feel.
=) Our colors are a burlap tan, ivory, and a hint of lilac!
kinda random, but i like the mexican lottery one! i want to put together a concert bill invitation but something like that would make it even better. we are having our wedding at a nashville concert venue this fall or next spring with friends bands and dj’s playing all night! this would set the mood for the eclectic and entertaining night if we did a sort of concert press kit invitation. ;)
I love the idea of using stitching or other textiles in the invitations. It adds such an interesting tactile component, which would set the stage beautifully for our elegant but whimsical zoo wedding!
I love the use of burlap ribbon in the San Diego rustic wedding invites. I adore rustic chic touches and that is what our wedding is all about: rustic chic and natural elements.
I realize it the suite that you featured in this post but I browsed through the blog and I kept coming back to the Lace Detailed Wedding Invitations! We are having accents of lace all over our wedding and I just love the lace band in this suite!
I really love how they use fabric, lace, and beautiful script throughout their work! I have to say that my favorite is the picture above with the cream tones and lace :)
Love to have something that has a vintage feeling. As of right now we are looking to get married after the birth of our baby in October so maybe March. We were supposed to get married in November but my parents cancelled the wedding. Now we are paying for it ourselves so any little bit helps since I’m a full time college student. We were hoping for grey, silver and royal purple as our colors.
I love the aloha theme with the string tying it together!
I am always a fan of paper stitching and I really like the wedding programs featured on the Paper and Thread blog on Dec. 1, 2010.
I absolutely adore the one with beautiful pink flower. That is actually something I’ll be looking for my own invitation.
My dream invitations consist of natural texture and elements, with a soft palette. We are doing a travel theme so I would love to incorporate that with the invitations, including maybe a little flat wooden airplane die-cut :)
I LOVE the idea of fabric or burlap used with the invitations in a pocket or with a band over the invite and love anything floral and whimsical.
Little punch out love birds holding our monogram…. awwwwweeee.
My fiance and I are both music phanatics. Going to concerts, music festivals, and seeing live music was a huge part of our dating and will continue being a huge part of our lives. Our wedding venue is a music venue in Chicago that we love. We’re looking to create invites with the same theme to give our guests the feeling like they are going to a concert for the night.
As a bride planning a wedding that will be in Cheltenham, England all the way from Atlanta, Georgia, I need all of the help and support I can find! I love flipping through the Paper and Thread blog viewing the invitations, but my English fiance and I are having such a hard time agreeing on invitations for our wedding.
We would like an invitation that is uniquely us and reflective of our long-distance and travel-heavy romance. We met in 2008 while I was living in Germany teaching English at a preschool. It was a wonderful 8 months of being together, but the last two years have involved multiple stamps in our passports and being on a first name basis with the postman because of the number of postcards and letters sent! We would like our invitations to somehow include maps and hearts, but remain classy and cute.
I believe the personal consultation with Paper and Thread will help us to make the invitations we are picturing in our heads a reality. We need your help! Our wedding is planned for September 24, 2011. :)
I think the use of fabrics, ribbon, and other textures beyond mere paper is what makes these invitations stand out. I love having that extra special touch, as if someone made a special invite just for that one person they were sending it to. Adorable and personal, what I want my wedding/stationary to encompass.
I am looking to have a VINTAGE WEDDING to celebrate our 15 years together!!
The colors are gold and soft pink!!!
I love the abstract wave featured on her blog! Very modern and simple – the exact feel of our wedding.
I love the one with the fabric tied around it! so adorable, I would love to have that as my invite!
I am amazed by the stitching on the invitations it gives them such a homey feel, exactly how i want my wedding to be!
The sweet fonts and bursts of color on the envelope linings are lovely
I like the navy & coral floral vintage fabric looking ones. BUT I have to say I LOVE the ones you have posted on your site. Totally in love with the lace!!
I love the peach/orange and navy ones…they’re so simple and chic but gorgeous!!
I love the use of “ordinary” string/ties to bundle up invitation paper, like baker’s string.
I absolutely LOVE her San Diego invitations from last August. The hearts and colors are fun and playful, exactly what I want for our weeding. But lets be honest, all of her invitations are wonderful.
Our wedding will be on May 5, 2012.
