From the Designer
During the years of 1934-1986 American painter, Georgia O’Keeffe laid her stake in New Mexico. Her best work was created there, living in solitude, climbing the white rocks and traveling around in her ford model ‘a’ car. We delighted in the image of this solo woman, buying her own home, teaching herself how to drive, and spending her days exploring the desert, examining animal bones and interacting with the native communities. Having been raised by all women, it’s no wonder that every photograph taken of her shows a strong, unwavering silhouette. These years and her time spent there is the spirit and drive of this year’s collection.
