Dogs are family and, FairyTail Pet Care understands that! Many couples want to include their dog in their wedding day, but there can be a lot to consider and the logistics alone may easily become overwhelming.

Here are 5 few tips to ensure you, and your dog will have the best day ever!

1. Consider your dog’s personality

You do not want your dog to be stressed out on your wedding day. If anything, their presence should be a stress reliever! Ask yourself how well they do in unknown environments, in crowds and around strangers. This will help you determine the best way to include them in the day.

2. Set a schedule &
bring necessary supplies for all of your pup’s needs.

Similar to your own timeline, your dog will need a schedule, as well. Plan ahead of time what pictures and activities you’d like your dog to be a part of and have arrangements in place to get them to each location. Make sure you have all their necessary supplies such as leashes, poop bags, water bowls, food, lint roller etc.

3. Inform your vendors
that you will be including your dog in the day

Your vendors want to make sure everything runs smoothly and so you want to avoid any surprises for them on the day of, especially one as big as your dog! Make sure you have permission from your venue to have your dog on property & let you planner know exactly when & where your dog will need to be. Discuss the photos you’d like to include your dog in with your photographer ahead of time. It’s important to keep everyone in the loop.

4. Make sure your pup is dressed to impress

Schedule a grooming appointment a day or two before the wedding day and consider what you’d like your dog to wear for their big debut. There are great custom attire options you can order on Etsy, or you could even make something for them yourself!

5. Hire professional wedding day pet care

There is peace of mind in knowing that there is someone whose sole focus is on your dog. Your vendors will be busy working hard on other things and you likely don’t want to put the responsibility of your dog’s care on one of your guests.

A professional will coordinate with your vendors and provide transportation so that you and your guest’s will be able to remain completely present and most importantly, all of your dog’s needs will be met! This is also the best way to guarantee picture paw-fect photos!
