Jill and Daniel’s Atlanta wedding was the kind of celebration that makes you smile the second you step inside — joyful, design-forward, and full of personality. The two met during law school at the University of Virginia, starting as friends before their slow-burn love story naturally unfolded. Held at the St. Regis Atlanta and designed with the help of JDV Occasions and Topher Mack, their wedding weekend blended sentiment, family traditions, and high-impact design, all captured by Clark Brewer.

A Reem Acra designed by Ms. Acra herself

Fashion played a major role throughout the weekend. Jill wore a semi-custom Reem Acra gown with a bespoke scooped back designed by Mrs. Acra herself, paired with a lace veil from Monvieve she plans to lend to future brides as her “something borrowed.”

Daniel’s Sid Mashburn tux felt perfectly Atlanta, while the bridesmaids stunned in a curated mix of red dresses that echoed the bold floral design.

From ballet to St. Regis ballroom

Jill grew up dancing ballet just steps away from the St. Regis, and her mom had long imagined this exact setting for her daughter’s big day. When it came time to choose a venue, it felt meant to be.

Organic styling meets elegant florals

The ceremony provided a foreshadowing of the showstopping poppies to come by incorporating elegant and flowing light pink poppy arrangements by Topher Mack accented with light pink roses and green-tinted hydrangeas.

Patterns + textures = timeless elegance

Guests found their seats thanks to deep purple seating cards with silver modern calligraphy. A tiered floral arrangement in a variety of textures stood out against the patterned linen.

Showstopping detail: oversized poppies

The reception was a true showstopper. Working with JDV Occasions and designer Topher Mack, the ballroom was completely reimagined with an unexpected layout and oversized sculptural paper poppies in Jill’s favorite shade of red. Towering above tables and playing with scale in a way you rarely see, the poppy installation felt whimsical, artistic, and immersive — transforming the space into a modern wonderland that felt more like the hottest new restaurant than a traditional ballroom.

Rose-gold Gucci for the afterparty

For the afterparty, Jill switched into a sculptural Magda Butrym mini dress and rose-gold Gucci platforms — pure party energy.

Advice direct from the couple

“Make it feel like you,” Jill says. “We wanted our guests to feel wowed, comfortable, and ready to dance — and to leave knowing exactly who we are.”
