A dark and moody Hallows’ Eve vineyard wedding inspiration

Golden hour wedding portraits

Happy Halloween lovebirds! What better venue to craft a Hallows' Eve styled shoot than at Vitalité Sureau, a gorgeously rustic elderberry farm just outside of Montreal, Canada. This moody and spooky wedding inspiration was intentional in honoring their real couple, Klara and Nico's, style and romantic personalities. While Halloween often brings orange and pumpkins to mind, the couple was down to do something a little different. Incorporating dark and moody elements, the vendor team created a vibe that was dramatic, bold, and very unique!

Timeless & tatted wedding fashion

Klara's bridal look was entirely her timeless style, in a lace embroidered gown from designer Sinders Bridal House paired with an embellished cathedral length veil. Her gorgeous 1920's inspired makeup and hair by Chelsea Dawn Chawsky was a unique style combined with a modern touch of custom hair vine and jewelry by Loft Bijoux.

Nico, the groom model, is the incredibly talented artist behind Bad Vibes Tattoos and actually tattooed both himself and Kara the day before the shoot! Their tats were the coolest accessory to show off in their wedding attire.

Timeless groom attire with loafers

To match the vintage style of Kara, Nico's simple and stylish attire consisted of a black and white suit with loafers from Zara Homme.

'Til death do us part ceremony

Vitalité Sureau is a brand new family owned venue and a beautiful "blank slate" set among the beautiful backdrop of the Laurentians. Owner Phil and his wife were inspired by the popularity of vineyard weddings in Canada, prompting them to build an elderberry vineyard - perfect for intimate weddings like the vendor team styled for this shoot!

Til death do us part mirror sign

The stunning fall foliage of the property was brought into a Halloween mood with black chairs for an al fresco ceremony, while Papeterie et Confetti used a vintage mirror as the base for their welcome sign that matched the gold foil of their stationery.

We're obsessed with these unique, handcrafted wedding rings by Loft Bijoux! While the couple was saying their "I do's" the team was worried about a storm weather forecast. Instead the weather brought gorgeous, dramatic skies to their evening ceremony!

As the ceremony was later in the evening, and Kimberly Archambault Photography captured romantic blue hour portraits instead of the typical golden hour sunset bridals. The photographer created the concept for this editorial and we love how she incorporated vintage lanterns into these moody portraits!

Pro tip from the photographer:

"The biggest tip for couples hoping to achieve a similar vibe for their day? Allow your day to feel like you and don’t be afraid to think outside the box. Your vendor team will be excited to create something totally original, and you’ll enjoy the planning process almost as much as the end result!"
