Whimsical Toronto Wedding: A Vintage Inspired Celebration

Share

Wedding invitation set for Danielle and Randy Toronto

A Sweet Repeat by Focus Production

Who says you have to wear white and throw a traditional wedding? Nobody does–that’s who. You can do whatever you want and wear whatever you like. Our next wedding is a prime example that allowing yourself to do whatever you like can be just as magical as a traditional wedding.
Read on for more details on Danielle and Randy’s whimsical Toronto wedding, thoughtfully designed by Vantage Events & Wedding Coordination and captured by Erin Leydon Photography. As always you can view all the wedding photos in the full gallery here.

From the bride on her wedding day:It was really important to me to plan a wedding that was a reflection of us as a couple, and not to worry about traditional wedding “rules”. I also really invested my time into creating a cohesive feel throughout all of the design and decorating decisions for the day. I put a lot of time into DIYs such as a painted canvas for our ceremony backdrop, pom-pom streamers, pillows and table numbers.

We got engaged in a Photo Booth, so it was a no-brainer to have one at the wedding as well, we chose to go with a vintage black & white film photo booth to keep with the vintage feel. At the end of the night, many of our guests told us that the wedding was so “us”, which was the very best thing to hear. For our first dance we danced to “Brightest” by Copeland, our favorite band.

Danielle and Randy’s whimsical Toronto wedding was charming and sophisticated, but also fun, and a little vintage inspired. They searched long and hard for that perfect location, looking for a venue that had warmth and set the right tone for their on-trend wedding decorations. They also wanted a space where they could hold both the ceremony and the reception, rather than two separate locations, so School – Toronto was the perfect place. It’s a new restaurant in an old building.
