Regal French Vintage Mountain Top Inspiration Shoot Color Palette: Champagne, Vintage Gold, Copper Rose, Copper, Riverside Blue, Airy Blue Style Vision: From Betsy Couture; the shoot stylist and gown designer- The majestic Wasatch Mountains in Utah are naturally grand and beckon magnificence, opulence and grandeur to stand alongside their beauty. The unique style and allure of Château de Versailles in the Île-de-France with its refined elegance and grand perspective provide the perfect partnership for the splendor, enormity and intimacy that the mountains provide. To offset the simple grandeur of the mountains, we chose ornate, lush, sumptuous styles. The bride’s silk and lace peplum ball gown is dignified and royal, while still being whisper soft and feminine. This unique gown can be worn two ways. The sweeping silk champagne gown, with side pockets, is perfect for the ceremony. But when the party begins, to bring her into the 21st Century, the separate ball gown skirt is removed to reveal a sassy-short pencil dress. As a final detail, we adorned her edgy hair with a matching pillbox hat and she became ready to party under the stars. Gorgeous silk ribbon from Over the Top Events and a family heirloom vintage pearl ring and cameo necklace were perfect touches to complement the regal, antique feel. Our groom donned an exquisite tuxedo with a change of ties and vests to match his bride. The ostentatious display of royal power in classical French majesty was our inspiration for the table décor. The towering floral arrangements amid taper-filled candelabras and cascading greens echoed both the sweetness and opulence of the formal gardens. Napkins folded in the traditional fleur-de-lis shape stood atop the French china, Aux Caille (Golden Quail) by Haviland, Limoges. Traditional French delicacies graced the golden menu. The mahogany table and chairs, gold damask embroidered seat cushions, fine linens topped with multiple mats and chargers, gold ware and gold scripted place cards embody French royalty drama. Todd Collins captured all of this in stunning photos that embody the amazing splendor of French royalty in the majesty of the mountains. From Over the Top Events, floral designer: I was inspired by the blue hydrangeas with their antique, muted tones and designed all the flowers in keeping with that European, romantic feel.
